Story
According to her foster, Millie is a spitfire! Fortunately, she is very small so she isn't bouncing off the furniture or chewing up your house. She loves other little dogs and doesn't bother the cats that she lives with. She is very active and playful and loves to drag around toys. She is crate trained, sleeps through the night, and loves to go outside. She is pee pad trained but seems to prefer to potty outside. She walks on a leash for a time, but then looks at you with her sad eyes (what an act) so that you will pick her up. She does have a hind leg that she sometimes limps on and sometimes uses. She can go up and down stairs but sometimes needs help coming back up. She will go anywhere with you. She will alert you with a few barks when there is a disturbance in her universe. What a fun little dog! She is estimated to be between 5-7 years old and recently had a full dentalFOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Meet my sweet purebred Maltese puppy, born December 22, 2025. He is a loving, playful, and affectionate little boy who enjoys cuddling, playing, and being around people. He has a wonderful personality and brings so much joy to everyone he meets. He is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, and veterinary records will be provided. He is healthy, happy, and looking for a family that can give him the time, love, and care he deserves. This is an extremely difficult decision, and I am only rehoming him due to housing and financial circumstances. My priority is finding him a safe, stable, and loving forever home where he will be treated as a member of the family.A rehoming fee applies to ensure a serious and committed adopter.

Story
***Adoption Pending*** ***Tia is in a foster home, so she is not at the kennel. If you are interested in her, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you.*** Tia has never met a lap she didn't like! This little cutie is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs 9 pounds right now, but she still needs to gain a little weight. Meet silly Tia, she came to K9 so emaciated she looked like a walking skeleton! After a few weeks in a foster home on a careful feeding program, she is now a happy, bouncy girl, just a little skinny! She needs to add a couple more pounds but is ready to look for her forever family. Tia is very friendly and loves humans, but since she is still very puppyish and learning her manners, she would do best in a home with children over 13. She also loves other dogs and gains confidence from having her foster siblings around, so another dog in the home is important for her. Tia is doing well learning about potty training and crate training and loves going for walks. She also loves to cuddle on a lap at the end of a long, active day! She really likes to be with her people, so someone who is home a lot would be just perfect for her. Tia would really like it if you wanted to meet her, she can't wait for a family to love and where she will be cared for like she deserves. If you are interested in Tia and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
🪻 Mia 🪻 Buckle up. Settle in. Lend an ear. It’s story time. Once upon a time, a family went searching for a tiny, fluffy, designer puppy. They got Mia a bright, sensitive little soul who should have been given guidance, boundaries, and safety. She wasn’t starved. She wasn’t crated for 23 hours a day. But she was deprived of the structure and advocacy that allow a young dog to grow into a mentally healthy adult. We don’t believe in “bad” dogs. We believe in dogs who were failed, misunderstood, or left to figure out the world without support. And when that happens, their coping skills twist into something reactive, defensive, or chaotic. These dogs are harder to place. But they are not hopeless. They are worth fighting for. We took Mia in as a surrender, and her behavior was not disclosed. She’s been with us for a bit now and as she's gotten comfortable her behaviors have come to light. Mia is over a year old now. From what we understand, she lived in a home with several children, no real training, no corrections, and no one stepping in when she was overwhelmed. No adult stepped in to protect her. So she learned to protect herself. And here’s the truth: Mia wakes with violence if startled. Mia guards certain items and will snap if pushed. But since being with us we've been working with her and her behaviors are manageable with the right approach. And we want to give credit where it’s due - Max from Ready, Set, Train has been incredible, helping us understand Mia’s triggers and giving us tools that actually work for her. With structure, consistency, and cheap anxiety medication from our vet, Mia is already showing improvement. Many organizations would label her unadoptable. We don’t. Because we’ve also seen the other side of her. Mia is a joyous, energetic, hilarious little sprite. She is spunky, friendly, and loves the car. She’ll run outside in any weather like she’s training for the Olympics. She is still a puppy at heart - curious, bright, and full of potential. But potential only matters if someone is willing to meet her where she is. What Mia Needs: She needs a person who is ready to learn, to listen, and to advocate for her. Someone who understands that reactive behaviors can be managed with consistency and education. Her adopter must be willing to: - Continue her training - Has to have a designated sleeping area in a kennel or taller x-pen - Use treats to trade for items she guards - Provide structure, training, and routine - Protect her from situations that overwhelm her - Accept her as she is today while helping her grow into who she could be She deserves someone who sees her more than her triggers. Some dogs need a village. Mia needs her person. Adoption fee: $350 ------------------------------------------------- We ask that you fill out our adoption application to start. We ask people to be approved for adoption before meeting our animals one-on-one because we would hate for someone to fall in love and things not work out. www.furangelsrs.com/ Our adoption requirements are under 'ready-to-adopt,' and the dog application is under the 'dog' section. Story
Duff is an interesting character. Currently 3 years old, he came from a litter of very friendly little pups, but for some reason, Duff didn't inherit the bubbly personality gene. He is reserved, to say the least, but he has come a long way. He enjoys being petted and is excited when you return home. He just isn't to the point yet of running right up to you to get love. When he is on his bed he waits for you to pet him or put him on a leash. He loves taking walks, has fun playing with other small dogs, and could care less about cats. Kids would probably be too much for him. This is a very special boy who wants love and is getting better about accepting love. He is quiet, doesn't jump up on furniture, and sleeps through the night. He is potty pad trained. Perhaps a doggy door leading to a fenced in yard would encourage his outdoor pottying. He is requesting a patient person who will love him unconditionally no matter what his quirks are.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
