Story
Meet this very special senior boy. 🤍🐾At 10 years old, this sweet Maltese mix has been through more than most, but he hasn’t let it stop him from enjoying life. He is diabetic and blind and has some skin issues, so he will need insulin and eye drops for the rest of his life. But in return, he gives something priceless: unconditional love. ❤️He’s currently in a foster home where he’s showing that he is potty trained and enjoys the company of other dogs who understand and respect his space. He may need a little extra care, but he deserves a family who will see past his medical needs and love him for the wonderful dog he is.Sometimes the dogs who need us most are the ones who love us the best. 🥹💕

Story
Meet Cleats, a loyal, medium-energy companion who is looking for a patient and understanding adult-only home to call his own. Once Cleats knows and trusts you, he is the ultimate cuddle bug. He loves to be held like a baby and will even dance on his hind legs to show you how happy he is! He has an excellent "off-switch" and is always ready to relax and lay down with you after playtime. His absolute favorite activities include going for car rides, taking neighborhood strolls, and playing fetch with his ball in the yard. Inside the home, Cleats has excellent house manners. He is potty-trained, letting you know he needs to go outside by acting visibly excited. He shows no signs of separation anxiety and is not destructive. When left alone, he does perfectly fine roaming loose with other respectful dogs and will usually just sleep the day away. While he treats an open crate as a comfortable, quiet safe space during the day, at night he prefers his favorite spot: snuggled right in bed with you. When it comes to grooming, he handles home baths and trims well, though he can be a little sensitive about mats and knots. Because Cleats is shy and wary of strangers, he needs a savvy owner who can advocate for his space and manage introductions safely. He can become defensive, growling or nipping if an unfamiliar person tries to touch or approach him unexpectedly, and he is uncomfortable around children. Cleats currently lives with other dogs and gets along well with them. Cleats does like to chase his feline foster siblings from time to time but he is capable of adjusting to a dog-savvy cat. While he might chase at first, he eventually bonds deeply and will happily share the bed with his feline roommates. *2 years old *9 lbs. of cuteness *Neutered, UTD on vaccines and microchipped *Dog and Cat friendly *NO CHILDREN *Potty trained *Non destructive when left out APPLY TODAY: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
🪻 Mia 🪻 Buckle up. Settle in. Lend an ear. It’s story time. Once upon a time, a family went searching for a tiny, fluffy, designer puppy. They got Mia a bright, sensitive little soul who should have been given guidance, boundaries, and safety. She wasn’t starved. She wasn’t crated for 23 hours a day. But she was deprived of the structure and advocacy that allow a young dog to grow into a mentally healthy adult. We don’t believe in “bad” dogs. We believe in dogs who were failed, misunderstood, or left to figure out the world without support. And when that happens, their coping skills twist into something reactive, defensive, or chaotic. These dogs are harder to place. But they are not hopeless. They are worth fighting for. We took Mia in as a surrender, and her behavior was not disclosed. She’s been with us for a bit now and as she's gotten comfortable her behaviors have come to light. Mia is over a year old now. From what we understand, she lived in a home with several children, no real training, no corrections, and no one stepping in when she was overwhelmed. No adult stepped in to protect her. So she learned to protect herself. And here’s the truth: Mia wakes with violence if startled. Mia guards certain items and will snap if pushed. But since being with us we've been working with her and her behaviors are manageable with the right approach. And we want to give credit where it’s due - Max from Ready, Set, Train has been incredible, helping us understand Mia’s triggers and giving us tools that actually work for her. With structure, consistency, and cheap anxiety medication from our vet, Mia is already showing improvement. Many organizations would label her unadoptable. We don’t. Because we’ve also seen the other side of her. Mia is a joyous, energetic, hilarious little sprite. She is spunky, friendly, and loves the car. She’ll run outside in any weather like she’s training for the Olympics. She is still a puppy at heart - curious, bright, and full of potential. But potential only matters if someone is willing to meet her where she is. What Mia Needs: She needs a person who is ready to learn, to listen, and to advocate for her. Someone who understands that reactive behaviors can be managed with consistency and education. Her adopter must be willing to: - Continue her training - Has to have a designated sleeping area in a kennel or taller x-pen - Use treats to trade for items she guards - Provide structure, training, and routine - Protect her from situations that overwhelm her - Accept her as she is today while helping her grow into who she could be She deserves someone who sees her more than her triggers. Some dogs need a village. Mia needs her person. Adoption fee: $350 ------------------------------------------------- We ask that you fill out our adoption application to start. We ask people to be approved for adoption before meeting our animals one-on-one because we would hate for someone to fall in love and things not work out. www.furangelsrs.com/ Our adoption requirements are under 'ready-to-adopt,' and the dog application is under the 'dog' section.
