Hi there! I’m Ben, and I have a little secret to share, I’m pretty sure I’m made of 50% sweetness, 50% scruffy cuteness and 100% irresistible charm! With my fluffy little beard, soulful eyes and adorable scruffy good looks, I’m basically a walking, 4 year old, 14 pound Maltese-Terrier mix wagging teddy bear. But I’m not just a pretty face! I’m a good boy who walks nicely on a leash and is ready to explore the world with my new family…well, slowly please. I’m also a pup who would really love to have a friendly canine companion in my forever home. Let me explain my brother, Mr. Max and I were surrendered by our owner because she was aging and no longer could take care of us. We would love to go to a home together, but we understand that’s a lot to ask. So we are OK starting a new chapter on our own as long as I will have a different Canine sibling to snuggle with and help me be brave. So, if you have a sweet pup who might enjoy a little brother, a heart with room for one ridiculously adorable scruffy boy and a home ready for plenty of love, I might just be your perfect match.Fair warning: I may cause excessive smiling, spontaneous cuddles and the uncontrollable urge to show my picture to absolutely everyone you meet! Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources.
