Sammy has not had the benefit of living in a consistent, stable environment, so he will need a family willing to give him patience, grace, and lots of love while he settles in and learns what it means to truly be home. 🏡 A few things to know about Sammy: • 2 years old • Male & neutered • Maltese/Yorkie mix • Needs some grace and consistency with house training • Does not do well with larger dogs • No cats, please • A home with smaller dogs may be a better fit • Needs a patient, loving family who will give him time to adjust Sammy isn’t looking for perfection—he’s looking for stability, kindness, and someone who won’t give up on him. shelter notes: 8/2-Ziggy was frightened to walk thu the kennels to the little yard so I carried him. Once in the yard he immediate pooped & peed, definitely house broken. He spent much of his time searching for a way to escape but consistently took a break and came to me for some affection. He was not interested in the dog in the next yard. He was brave enough to walk all the way back into recovery. He has a healthy appetite and occasionally would sit for a treat. those were notes from the pound. Once in foster awaiting transport, Ziggy gave a puncture would to the volunteer holding him when he began to stand up though he slept with his wife the night prior. He also badly punctured the hand of the transporter when attempting to remove him from the crate. He has a bite history and we have not spent enough time with him yet to know the triggers though obviously he likes to do things on his terms. He is fine when left to his own decision making. And because he is cute and one is drawn to him, no children or elders. Experienced dog people only please.

for now at least this little guy (11 pounds) has some 'healing' to do as he arrived under the weather with the dog pound crud but he is sweet and housetrained and quiet and soon will be ready to head to a loving home. He certainly misses someone!

Swiffer is a sweet older gentleman, about 10 years old and 7 pounds, who is ready to spend his golden years exactly where he belongs—in a loving home. This little guy loves his people and truly enjoys having company. He especially loves spending time outside and exploring the yard. He does most of his business outdoors but will also use a pee pad when needed. He can handle stairs with no problem, sleeps quietly through the night, and even enjoys playing with other dogs. Swiffer may be a senior, but he still has plenty of life and love to give. He’s an easygoing, affectionate little guy who would fit beautifully into a family or make the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend.

Luka is a male Maltese mix. Luka is 4 years old and weighs in at 10 lbs. He is housebroken and wee wee pad trained. He is not crate trained. Good on a leash but does bark when passing other dogs walking. He is extremely sweet, cuddly and loving. Good with children and no presence of aggression with toys or food. Luka's sister is Mika and they are bonded, and will need to be adopted together.
