Meet Sweet Serenity! You’d be hard-pressed to find a dog sweeter than Serenity. She truly lives up to her name with her gentle and loving nature. It’s heartbreaking to think that anyone could have neglected such a precious soul. Serenity is a petite 4-year-old, weighing just 11 lbs. She was found wandering as a stray north of Nashville, but even after her profile was shared on every lost-and-found pet site, no one stepped forward for her. One possible reason is an old injury to her right front leg—a break above the joint between her foot and leg that never healed quite right. While her foot now lacks proper support for walking, the injury isn’t painful and doesn’t seem to slow her down. Serenity often shifts her weight to her other legs and has become an expert at the charming Maltese trick of dancing on her hind legs. Serenity is guaranteed to make you smile—she’s a true trooper with a resilient spirit. She gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and is also friendly with cats. This little lady is an excellent car rider and will be a delightful companion for any outing. Her irresistible charm is sure to help you make plenty of new friends wherever you go. Sophie is a tiny 15 year old Maltese Poodle mix weighing just under 8 pounds. She is polite gentle and very sweet. Her favorite place is simply near her person. She coexists well with other small dogs and has an easygoing presence. Sophie came into rescue when her owner could no longer care for her. It took her a few days to adjust but she is settling in beautifully and showing her soft affectionate personality. Her eyesight is good and her hearing is still fairly strong for her age. She does have a heart murmur but is not on any medication at this time. She doesn't love being left alone so we are hoping to find her a calm quiet home where someone is around most of the time. Sophie is a lovely little soul looking for comfort companionship and a soft place to land for her golden years. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. shelter notes: 8/2-Ziggy was frightened to walk thu the kennels to the little yard so I carried him. Once in the yard he immediate pooped & peed, definitely house broken. He spent much of his time searching for a way to escape but consistently took a break and came to me for some affection. He was not interested in the dog in the next yard. He was brave enough to walk all the way back into recovery. He has a healthy appetite and occasionally would sit for a treat. those were notes from the pound. Once in foster awaiting transport, Ziggy gave a puncture would to the volunteer holding him when he began to stand up though he slept with his wife the night prior. He also badly punctured the hand of the transporter when attempting to remove him from the crate. He has a bite history and we have not spent enough time with him yet to know the triggers though obviously he likes to do things on his terms. He is fine when left to his own decision making. And because he is cute and one is drawn to him, no children or elders. Experienced dog people only please.

Good on a leash but does bark when passing other dogs walking. He is extremely sweet, cuddly and loving. Good with children and no presence of aggression with toys or food. Luka's sister is Mika and they are bonded, and will need to be adopted together.
