She is between 2-3 years old and loves to be groomed and taken for walks. Ruffles enjoys spending time on laps, being petted, and being talked to. With consistent training and patience, she can learn to sit, stay, and respond to commands. For her safety, it's important that her new home has a fenced yard. Ruffles gets along well with other small dogs and friendly cats. She loves spending time with her special people. Unfortunately, Ruffles had a tough start in life. She was used as a breeding dog and then thrown out of a car when she was no longer needed. Therefore, she needs a person or a couple who can give her the love and attention she never received, keep her well-groomed, share cuddles and love, and keep her healthy. Ruffles has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. I am fluffy and soft and just love to cuddle up on a loving lap.You see life was a tad rough for me and I was hurt by someone who was supposed to love me. He was a drug addict though. So neighbors saved me from him multiple times. Until finally at 7 months old, a neighbor who found me in really bad shape. In fact, with 2 broken bones and paralyzed. They dropped me off at the shelter. I was almost euthanized by the vet, but my rescuer looked into my eyes and saw life and hope. Likely dumped there, as often happens in my country when people tire of having a dog. I know, so sad.They may have abandoned me, because I am no longer a spry, playful puppy. This is due to the fact one of my eyes is pretty well blind and the other has poor vision. I have cataracts.No worries, I still get around just fine. Please no interior decorators rearranging furniture all the time. LOL. I currently live with a foster, but she can't hold me long, as the Landlord doesn't want any dogs there.
