Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I’m Falcor. ❤️ I’m not really sure how I ended up here, but I’m hoping my story has a much happier chapter ahead. I was hit by a car and a kind Good Samaritan saw what happened and rushed me to the ER. They took radiographs (nothing broken), got me started on pain medication, and then tried to find my family through my microchip. Unfortunately, the person contacted denied being my owner and said they didn’t want me anymore. So… just like that, I was discarded. I may not understand why someone could stop wanting me, but I’m trying not to let it change the kind of boy I am. I’m the sweetest little guy, and even though I’m still a little unsure of where I am and everything I’ve been through, I have this gentle soul that just wants to trust again. I’m really the sweetest boy. My tail will not stop wagging when I see you, and I love to be pet and cuddle up in your lap. I’m a Maltese mix, which means I’m considered hypoallergenic, but my beautiful coat does need regular brushing and professional grooming to keep me comfortable and looking my best.  I get along great with other dogs, of all sizes. I walk well on leash, and feel like I would do well around kids, considering my gentle demeanor. Because of me being hit by a car, my hip and back legs are getting stronger each day, but still may need some time to fully recover, until I can start jumping off couches and such.  I’m neutered, 4DX negative, current on my vaccines, and protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. My adoption fee is $400. I’m currently in Texas, but I can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, or locations along the East Coast. Transport is an additional $250. Please note: We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 18, 2026, 4:17 pm

Story
Oso and Moon Pie are a bonded pair on the search for their new home - together! Both Oso and Moon Pie are cute as can be, full of personality, and eager to start the next chapter. They hope it's full of walks in the sunshine, toys, treats, and cuddles from their humans. Oso and Moon Pie may do okay with other mellow dogs, but we don't know if they've ever met cats. Any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. Oso and Moon Pie can be nervous with new people and new situations, so they will likely do best in a calm, predictable home with just teens and adults. If you're ready to welcome home this precious pair, make an adoption appointment to meet them today!

Story
Sailor is a 9-year-old Maltese with the cutest little face and a very independent personality. She sleeps on the bed with her foster family and their dogs every night. Sailor is a quiet girl who prefers to keep to herself. She’ll happily come over for a tasty treat or meal, but she isn’t looking for cuddles and will often retreat to her favorite quiet corner afterward. She gets along with other dogs, but isn’t a big fan of play. She does enjoy relaxing in the sunshine on the deck, as long as grass isn’t involved. Sailor isn’t your typical cuddly Maltese, and she’ll need a patient adopter who understands that she may always be more of an independent companion than a lap dog. For someone willing to love her exactly as she is, Sailor could be a wonderful little friend. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
SnowLake Snow Lake is Washington's most beloved wilderness trail. That said, we think this SnowLake was aptly named. This girl is calm, gentle, and deeply, completely devoted to her people. She tends to show up wherever you are, tucks herself in close, and makes herself at home. Doing chores? She'll follow along. Working at your desk? She'll be in your lap before you've even opened your laptop. She fell asleep on her foster mom so consistently that she now just permanently holds her. This is the effect Snowlake has on people, and there is no known cure. She does have some feelings about personal space. Specifically, she'd prefer there be none. She can get a tad anxious when she can't see you, so a home where someone is around often (or always) would be her dream scenario. And while we’re talking preferences, she also has a strong desire to sleep in the bed. She's not demanding about much, but she’s firm on this point. As far as potty training goes, she's consistently heading outside for pee, and poops are becoming more regular, too, though she does prefer a little privacy (a reasonable ask, we think). She's met other dogs and kids on walks and handled both with curiosity. Like Snow Lake itself, this pup is going to make the person who “finds” her feel very, very lucky. -----
