Story
Harley is a handsome dude who would love to be your one and only buddy. He has a messy story. A flaky woman pulled him out of a city shelter on a whim and then realized her senior dog and Harley were not going to be a good match. She was not up for really giving it a decent effort. She put him in boarding and walked away. He was eventually brought to us at our rescue ranch where he is currently living. He sees other dogs through the yard with no response but we definitely feel he is going to be best/happiest as an only dog. He’s happy to go on walks but he’s also just as happy to have a yard to sunbathe, toss around his toys and just watch over everything. He is not a guard dog. Have not seen him show any signs of being protective. He’s basically a big layback dude.

This sweet lady was brought into the South LA shelter on 7/11/23 and spent each day huddled in the back of her kennel run shaking and well....just miserable. And then one volunteer decided not to give up on her....and she coaxed Uki out of her corner and into the play yard. And it was the day our founder happened to be watching the dogs in the yard and she just knew Uki had to come into the Squad. Uki has come out of her shell and is just a kind, sweet, smart dog. She walks nicely on leash and is quick to learn commands. She loves people and snuggles up quickly - so yea, she's a little needy but it's super endearing. Uki obviously has had a few litters poor thing. But never again! If you are looking for a low key, loving dog....look no further.
