Sweetie is a Mastif/American bully/American bulldog mix who is all black with white feet. She is very loving and affectionate towards people. Her favorite toys are any kind of rope toy along with an indestructible soccer-type ball. Sweetie is a large dog (around 100lbs} so she requires a strong owner. She is potty trained and knows her sit command very well. We are still working with her on leash walking but she does respond to some "bark-buster" leash commands. She loves soft beds, couches and any other pillows you allow her to sit on. Sweetie needs to be the only pet in the household as she is not good with other dogs of any size. Thus, Sweetie is not the dog for you if you want to take a dog to a dog park. We love Sweetie very much but unfortunately she no longer gets along with our other dog so we have to find her a new home. We do have a bed, leash and dog bowl for her that we would be happy to send along with her. Thanks for taking a look to her!!!

He sleeps all day by your side so he can have the energy to wake you up at the crack of dawn for his morning walk. He’s fully potty trained and will let you know when he needs to go. Since he’s still a pup, he is definitely still curious and loves to go explore. He loves meeting new people and loves to run around with any new friends he makes at the park. He loves to sleep on the couch with a friend, whether that be another animal or person. If he has to be alone he’s very good at entertaining himself with whatever toys he’s provided with, not so much a stuffed animal destroyer but great at shredding cardboard when asked. This sweet lady was brought into the South LA shelter on 7/11/23 and spent each day huddled in the back of her kennel run shaking and well....just miserable. And then one volunteer decided not to give up on her....and she coaxed Uki out of her corner and into the play yard. And it was the day our founder happened to be watching the dogs in the yard and she just knew Uki had to come into the Squad. Uki has come out of her shell and is just a kind, sweet, smart dog. She walks nicely on leash and is quick to learn commands. She loves people and snuggles up quickly - so yea, she's a little needy but it's super endearing.
