Story
Say Hello to 8yo charming Monster and Don't be fooled by his name! He got the name monster because of his ginormous monster sized paws when he was a pup. He's a Sweet SUPER laid back dreamy English Mastiff looking for a home where he can wow you with his amazing personality. This guy is the most mellow calm cool n collected dog that has ever crossed my path. He's great with dogs, people, loves loves loves kids, treats, toys, and sunbathing. He did not live with cats, horses, or chickens before, but now in foster, he's the perfect ranch hand, and is so chill with them, like seriously, this never happens! Seeing him trying to figure out each critter was hilarious! He sat, stared, searching his brain for what made sense, and at the end, it was like he shrugged his shoulders, laughed, and went on about his happy way. He's extraordinary! He even knows various voice commands and hand signals. Monster is the perfect gentleman in the house (so well behaved when on his own, no need to crate, but you can block off certain areas if it makes you feel better), on the leash, and in the car. He actually "counter sniffs" in the house LOL, but never slips, so you can be confident not even one nugget will disappear?. This charming gentle giant is neutered, up to date on vaccines, definitely potty trained, and ready to spoil you with his awesomeness and laid back personality. Oh and he also reminded me to let you guys know that he LOVES nice relaxing walks where he can hear the birds chirping and the refreshing breeze whispering by him rather than running, jogging, biking, or roller blading ??. He said not to worry tho, cuz he'll happily hold down the fort while you do you?. Animal Rescue Recon makes sure that each dog is current on its vaccinations, has been or will be spayed or neutered, and is microchipped to help keep pets out of the shelters and get them back home where they belong. Story
Rambo is a wonderful 5-year old Boxer Mastiff mix looking for his forever home. He is a very well-behaved and loyal companion with lots of desire to play outside with other dogs. He was rescued being blind on his left eye, but that does not stop him from being full of personality and spunk. Rambo has been neutered, microchipped, and all if his vaccinations are up to date. He would be a great addition to any family looking for a large dog, preferably in a household without small pets or cats. He weighs about 60 pounds. Please contact me to set up a meet and greet or if you have any questions.

Story
Theo was found as a stray. I got him as an emergency foster and he’s been such an easy to train, loving, timid boy. Shy at first and will hide until he knows the coast is clear, once ready to say hello he is goofy. He moves very slowly and hardly makes a sound around the house. If he sees or hears something suspicious he gives a deep, gentle bark to let you know. When it’s dinner time you get to see how he bucks like a bronco before he sits politely and waits for the, ok, to eat. At 2 years old and 116lbs he still has a bit of growing to do. He has had absolutely no issues in the last year I’ve had him. He gets along with all the dogs and lets you bath him and clip his nails with no fuss. Large breeds like him take longer to mature so even though he is technically an adult, he’s still a big baby that needs guidance to build confidence. Looking for a perfect home should be easy. He loves cuddles, treats, and going out for ‘sniffaris’

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog H:5Meet Honeycomb! At 2 years old and 98 pounds, Honeycomb is a large mastiff mix with an even bigger heart. This giant is equal parts goofy and sweet—he loves to romp around chasing jolly balls (his toy of choice!) and will happily pause the fun for some ear scritches or a treat. Honeycomb is food-motivated, knows “sit,” and takes treats with a soft mouth. He’s also very strong on leash—think of it as your chance to work on your core strength while he works on his leash manners! He’s not wild, just enthusiastic, and will benefit from an adopter ready to continue his training and provide regular mental and physical enrichment. With other dogs, Honeycomb is playful and social with a loose, bouncy style. He’d love a dog buddy who can match his energy—or he’d be just as happy as a solo pup with some occasional playdates. If you have a soft spot for a big, loveable lug, Honeycomb is ready to meet you!April 21, 2025, 11:27 am
