Story
Romeo is very sweet 6 year old boy but the vets think he may be younger. He would love to be a family dog and definitely wants to find his forever home, but can be protective of his people and his space. That being said once he knows you are part of the family he listens very well and knows many commands, sit, stay, down, shake, wait. He is slow to warm up to new people but once he has been introduced to you he is a gentle giant and big couch potato that loves to cuddle. He also really enjoys going for a ride in the car. It is not recommended to have young kids due to his size. He is good on the leash and knows many commands but needs someone that is not afraid of his size and can properly handle him. Experienced adopter with larger breeds is a must. No other dogs or animals in the household and not a good candidate for crates.

Story
His birthday is December 22, 2025. He is a Mastiff × Doberman × American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is a wonderful, loving puppy who is great with people and other dogs, but he does need a lot of attention and has some separation anxiety. He had parvo as a puppy but was treated and fully recovered. He is healthy now, but he does need his parvo booster shot one last time We absolutely love him and this is a very difficult decision. Unfortunately, I’m moving and starting college, and I’m no longer able to give him the time, attention, and care he deserves. We just want to find him a loving home where he will be happy, cared for, and given the attention he needs

Story
08/19/26 15:27Gnocchi has been placed on needs rescue URGENT for his consistent high FAS (fear, anxiety, stress) score since begin here at the shelter.Gnocchi is a handsome 7 year old mastiff that has been in the shelter since June. When he first got here, his behavior was very inconsistent. Some days he would be loose and happy to greet people at the front of his kennel and other times he was barring teeth. Now that Gnocchi has had time to decompress, he is not showing any signs of aggression towards people or other dogs. In the kennel now, he is constantly barking and jumping. Gnocchi knows that the kennel life is not for him and he tells us that every time he returns from his walks. He is always super happy to leave the kennel for his daily walk, but he is known to stall when it is time to return. And who can blame him. He wants a life outside of the kennel with someone who will give him all the love he deserves. Will you be the one to help this sweet boy and give him a home away from the shelter?

Story
Lila is a beautiful Mastiff mix living her best life as our resident gentle giant and professional couch potato while she waits for her forever home 💛 This sweet girl is equal parts lover, snuggler, and car-ride breeze enthusiast. If you have a couch and a car window that rolls down halfway… congratulations, you already have two of Lila’s favorite things. With new people, Lila is a polite little introvert in a big dog body. She may play it cool at first, but once you pass her vibe check, she’ll wander over for a hand sniff and some gentle pets. Lila is still very much a baby brain inside a giant body, so she’s working on crate training, impulse control, and remembering that manners matter. She truly wants to be good… sometimes her dramatic side just makes a guest appearance. Structure, consistency, and a confident human are helping her improve every day. Lila is a mastiff mix, which means she’s a big girl with an even bigger heart. She can be a little unsure of herself at times, but with confident leadership and reassurance she settles in beautifully and bonds deeply with her people. Because of her size, puppy energy, and chase instincts, Lila is looking for a home without small children or small animals. 📍 Fostered in San Jose, CA Apply to adopt Lila: www.cabullyrescue.org/adopt

Story
Sammy is a mini-mastiff at ~60 lbs. He has 1 eye and a semi-lame left front leg, but none of this stops him from getting around and loving life. Though he has limited mobility he can go on short walks and loves to ride in his cart. He is house broken and crate trained. He gets along well with our other 2 dogs, and with all other dogs he has met. He takes a minute to get to know people, but once he does he loves attention and to cuddle! He is a happy guy who would make a perfect cuddle-buddy for someone who doesn't want a highly active dog. He'd do well with another dog or as an only dog.
