He came to us with a few quirks that his foster has been helping him work through and he is constantly making progress! He does need an experienced adopter who will be dedicated to continued positive reinforcement training and ongoing socialization. He has come a long way since his arrival in January 2023 and needs the perfect partner in crime to help him continue making progress! Ombre can be a bit skittish with new sounds or unexpected movements and can resource guard at times. He is occasionally slow to warm up to new men and other dogs, but not consistently! He can get overwhelmed in new high-activity environments, so continued socialization is a must. Ombre is very loving and curious, and acts like he is his foster's shadow. This loving boy is a classic case of a dog who is worth the effort! With the right, experienced adopter who is committed to setting him up for success through continued training and socialization, Ombre will absolutely blossom into his adopter's most dedicated friend! He is house and kennel trained. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Oh my, my, Murphy! Just look at this perfect, giant, boy! Murphy is approximately 3.5-4 months old and he’s already over 40 lbs. He’s smart as whip (knows multiple commands already), plays very well with other dogs yet doesn’t incessantly bug them, does well in the car, good on leash, and the list goes on! Murph sleeps with his foster mom and he’s quiet all night – minus some snoring, of course. He’s doing quite well with his house training but firmly believes crates are for peasants and he will not tolerate being put in one. 😳. Good thing he’s the goodest boy! Meet Mr. Walton! This handsome 8 year old Mastiff/Boxer mix is the definition of gentle giant. At 85 pounds, he is the sweetest, cuddliest boy. Down to do whatever, as long as he's with you, Walton is the perfect companion. He loves to cuddle on the couch, nap in the sun or walk around the neighbourhood. His favorite seat is in the passenger seat with his head out the window for an evening car ride. While he would prefer to be the only dog in the house, it's not necessary. He does well with the male dogs, including puppies. He loves kids and is very gentle with everyone he meets. He is a people dog, loving and melting the hearts of everyone he meets. He LOVES treats, is house trained, leash trained and kennel trained. This senior boy is looking for his retirement home, Come meet him in Windsor!
