Daphne, Mastiff mix, 1.5 yrs. 105 lbs. Daphne is friendly and calm. She’s good with other dogs and wants to play with them. No cats. She was found on a country road with a bowl and a bag of dog food. Story
Uma is an approximately 9-year-old Mastiff mix with the gentlest heart. She is a giant cuddle bug who believes she is a lap dog and loves nothing more than being close to her people. Uma is sweet, calm, and incredibly affectionate. Uma was adopted as a rescue, and her early life was difficult. Because of past trauma, she can become reactive on walks, but with a proper harness and mindful handling she does very well. She has lived peacefully with dogs, cats, and children of all ages, including babies, whom she absolutely adores. Slow introductions to new animals may help her feel safe, but she has never harmed a person. Mastiffs have relatively short lifespans, and our greatest hope is to find Uma a loving home where she can spend her senior years surrounded by comfort, affection, and family.

Masty is an absolutely stunning Neapolitan Mastiff hailing from Mexico. A former breeder mamma no longer able to have pups, she was abandoned but lucky for her BBCR volunteers found her and brought her here to Colorado to find her true fur-ever home! She is lovable, friendly, cuddly and dog/cat friendly. A bit clumsy, but adorably so. She is slightly vision impaired due to the facial rolls but she recently went through eye surgery to help improve her eyesight. She is currently recovering and may have delayed meet and greets due to her vet visit schedule.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THIS DOG: Ombre can be easily startled by new people and things. He is occasionally slower to meeting new people, especially men, and other dogs. Ombre has the potential to get overwhelmed easily and can resource guard. Ombre needs an adopter who is patient and willing to continue his training. Ombre is big guy with a lot of love to give! He came to us with a few quirks that his foster has been helping him work through and he is constantly making progress! He does need an experienced adopter who will be dedicated to continued positive reinforcement training and ongoing socialization. He has come a long way since his arrival in January 2023 and needs the perfect partner in crime to help him continue making progress! Ombre can be a bit skittish with new sounds or unexpected movements and can resource guard at times. He is occasionally slow to warm up to new men and other dogs, but not consistently! He can get overwhelmed in new high-activity environments, so continued socialization is a must. Ombre is very loving and curious, and acts like he is his foster's shadow. This loving boy is a classic case of a dog who is worth the effort! With the right, experienced adopter who is committed to setting him up for success through continued training and socialization, Ombre will absolutely blossom into his adopter's most dedicated friend! He is house and kennel trained.
