Story
Meet Baxter! Baxter was surrendered and asked to be picked up by ACO when he was just 5 months old. He just turned 2 years old this month. His family said they no longer wanted him because “he wasn’t getting big enough” He’s been with his foster ever since, no fault of his own as a different rescue committed to him and left him behind. Baxter is simply the best and is so deserving of a family of his own. He is high energy and loves to play, he will do great with a family that has older kids. He’s is always ready for an adventure or a hike and then a snuggle session. He LOVES toys especially his jumbler ball. Just make sure to always keep some backups on hand in case needed 😅 he loves running and jumping in the air. Baxter will keep you laughing with his goody antics and joy of everything! He is great with dogs and just wants to play. Who can resist a happy holiday adventurous loving boy like Baxter?! Baxter is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Story
Welcome Barron to CCPAL Rescue. Barron is a 4.5 month old Mastiff/Great Pyrenees. Barron is extremely affectionate and stunningly beautiful. This whole litter is soft, cuddly and affectionate. Barron would be great with a family with children. This dog has guardian breed, and would be a great family dog. He would be wonderful for a family with a dad that travels and wants to see his family has a dog that will watch out for them. Yeti went to a family with younger children and he is doing great. This is Barron’s brother. We prefer children to be 8 or older. He should be 60 pounds full grown. He likes water, decent on a leash and area trained. He will go on a potty pad. He is good with other dogs bigger than himself. His dad is a Dogo and mom is a Great Pyrenees. He energetic but can calm down and be extremely cuddly and affectionate. He has a soft coat and not a huge shedding dog. He has longer hair a little more like the GP momma. This breed is a guardian breed family even though she shows no signs of guarding anything at the moment. He is getting his vaccinations and will be ready for his forever home soon. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont and all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. This is a very desirable breed. Please be patient when you put in your application. We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Rufio is a gentle soul. He is a little shy and more on the quiet side. He does good with other dogs, even small ones.I just can’t say enough sweet things about this pup. He is good in a car and is learning the leash. It takes a little while for him to trust new people, but once he does, his goofy and sweet personality shines!Rufio is medium energy and would do great with any family with a little patience. Rufio is not completely potty trained. He still marks in the house but is working on that.Located in Houston, Tx. Transport to most states available for an additional fee of $300.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Urgent need for foster or adopter!! Johnny (renamed to Ozzy) has become urgent. Not because he is dangerous in any way, but because he's inconvenient. He makes a mess in a crate, and barks when left outside, and now neighbors have called the police because he was barking while his adopter went out to dinner. Clearly, he has some separation anxiety and it breaks my heart that he is going to have to make yet another change. He needs a patient adopter. He was NOT like that while he was in Arkansas. He was very well adjusted. I feel that he is not getting nearly enough exercise. I believe that is a big part of the problem. And I think the other part is that he needs more time to adjust. Johnny did great with other non aggressive dogs at doggy daycare while here in Arkansas. He has not been with other dogs since going to his home in January. Johnny adores all people. He did great with kids here, but was never around any really small kids. We have no reason to believe he would not do well with them, but he might accidentally knock them down, because he himself is just a giant baby and doesn't know his size. Johnny is just over 100 lbs, is about 2 years old, and is located in New York. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
Finn may look like a rockstar with his striking Mastiff–Shepherd good looks, but at heart, he’s a big, soft lovebug. Weighing in at about 60 pounds, Finn has grown into a handsome boy with a beautiful gray and tan coat, soulful eyes, and an even bigger personality. Despite his star-quality appearance, Finn is more of a laid-back, easygoing guy—think Eeyore vibes, but with engines revved and ready to love. From the moment he wakes up, he’s prepared to shower his people with affection… and trust us, it’s A LOT of love! Finn does well with other dogs and does need a slow, proper introductions to new friends—both two-legged and four-legged. Once he knows you, he loves you deeply. He’s happiest when he has a buddy (human or canine) to share his world with. Affection is Finn’s specialty. When someone comes to greet him, he lights up, runs over with enthusiasm, and hands out slobbery kisses and big hugs like they’re backstage passes. His joy is genuine, his heart is huge, and he’s always thrilled to see his people. If you’re looking for a big, lovable, slightly goofy rockstar who will adore you endlessly, Finn is ready to take center stage in your heart. Local adoption only $200 (in TX)
