Story
Meet Winnie! Winnie is another one of our babies who was found just wandering around a rural area in South Georgia. Locals reported seeing Winnie waiting at the bus stop for children each day but still no one ever came looking for her Winnie is a strikingly beautiful brindle girl, about 6 yrs old. She's very chill and would probably thrive as the Queen of her own Castle, but she does get along well with other dogs too. A nice quiet place to sun bathe outside and a comfy sofa with a soft blanket is what this lovely lady wants more than anything else! Oh and did we mention Winnie is also cat friendly and LOVES children? She is pure perfection for sure!   Interested in adding a bit of royalty to your family? Story
We adopted Frankie from the Fulton county animal shelter back in 2023. He was originally found tied to a park bench in downtown Atlanta. He’s definitely had some past trauma. He’s been a good boy, but due to my wife’s and mine busy schedule the last year or so, he’s been having to spend a lot of time in his crate while we’re at work. So he hasn’t been getting the exercise he needs.

Story
Do'Lce - ID# 20314 - Kennel #834 - Arrived June 25th - American Pit Bull Terrier/Mastiff Mix - Tri Color - Male - 3 Years Old - 70 lbs - Will Be Neutered Prior to Adoption - Up to Date on Vaccines - Heartworm Negative Do'Lce is a three-year-old tri color American Pit Bull Terrier/Mastiff mix with a broad, handsome face, warm brown eyes, and the kind of gentle, expressive look that tells you immediately there is a deeply feeling soul behind those eyes. He arrived at Cobb Animal Services on June 25th after his owners - the only people he has ever known in his entire three years of life - surrendered him due to separation anxiety, and he is visibly heartbroken. He seems so down, and it makes complete sense. He has lost everything familiar in one moment. Do'Lce's separation anxiety tells you something important about who he is - he is a dog who loves deeply and bonds completely. That kind of devotion, channeled into the right home with the right person, is one of the most extraordinary things a dog can offer. Separation anxiety is manageable with patience, routine, and positive reinforcement training, and for a dog as sweet and willing as Do'Lce the investment is absolutely worth it. He already knows sit and is dog friendly and good with children. He pulls with some strength on leash - but with consistent work and the freedom of a real home routine, that will come together beautifully. At three years old Do'Lce is right in his prime - a big, beautiful, loving boy who simply needs someone to understand him. He does not need to be fixed. He needs to be chosen, and given the stability and consistency that will allow him to finally feel secure. The person who gives him that will be rewarded with a loyalty and devotion that is truly humbling. Do'Lce is sweet, he is gentle, and he is sitting in a kennel feeling the weight of losing his whole world. He deserves someone who will be his whole world right back. Come meet him in Kennel #834 - look into those warm brown eyes and tell yourself you can walk away. We dare you. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
'Courtesy Post' This is not a Street Paws animal but we are assisting with placing their pet. MEET 'BROTHER' Brother has been completely vetted which includes microchipping, neutering, ALL current and up to date vaccinations, rabies vaccine, heartworm testing, heartworm and flea prevention and completed deworming. Brother is a very sweet boy! He is very active and loves hiking and being outdoors. He is super playful and LOVES water! He has a very unique story that is very compelling and heartfelt. We are extremely grateful that we could help this precious family in need and feel honored to have had the opportunity to work along side his foster family. Brother was being fostered by a license and trained dog trainer and animal care foster. She named him from the movie ' brother where art thou'. His foster /trainer worked day and night to train him, foster him with adequate care and be a advocate for him finding his forever home. Unfortunately, his foster was brutally attacked by a man she was trying to help. He has caused intensive suffering, pain, trauma and irreversible damage to her body and spirit. Although our shelter stays very full especially with larger breed dogs.....I knew I had to help this amazing family. I also wanted to take the load off of the family with uncertainty where Brother may go and be cared for at. .. allowing their family to focus on recovery. The family has been outstanding and so generous in the darkest times. I feel honored to be apart of this journey. Brother is a outstanding boy! He is very smart and would make a incredible addition to a home and family. If you love being outdoors and dog cuddles this boy is for you! Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150 mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions.  Adoption fee is $300 To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at  https://www.streetpaws.org/home/adopt.     This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. If more information is needed regarding the pet email info@streetpaws.org. You must complete the pre-application to obtain approval to meet the pet.  June 23, 2026, 2:31 pm
