At around 85 pounds, this lovable guy is full of personality, affection, and just the right amount of goofiness.Henry is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and already has great manners—he’s both crate trained and house trained, making him an easy addition to the right home. He enjoys having his own cozy space and settles in well with routine.Because Henry thrives on attention and prefers to be the center of his person’s world, he’s looking for a home where he can be the only dog. He hasn’t been tested with cats or young children, and due to his size and enthusiasm (he doesn’t quite realize how big he is!), a home with no children or older, dog-savvy kids would be the best fit.Henry would do wonderfully with someone who appreciates a larger breed and can give him the love, structure, and companionship he deserves. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, affection, and plenty of tail wags.❤️

This is one of the hardest posts I’ve had to make. D.O.G. is a purebred English Mastiff, approximately 140 lbs, and will be 6 this October. He’s up to date on vaccinations and overall very healthy. D.O.G. was originally my pop’s dog. I helped pick him out as a puppy, so he’s always held a special place in my heart. After my pops passed away, he naturally stayed with me and our family. We’ve done our best to give him a great life over the last two years, but the reality is that the life he needs and the life we live are very different. Our home is busy, loud, and full of kids running in every direction. D.O.G. has always been an old soul and would thrive in a quiet, laid-back home. An older couple or someone looking for a loyal companion would be ideal. This isn’t because he’s done anything wrong or isn’t loved. We love him enough to recognize that he deserves a home better suited to him. I’ll be very selective because the right home matters more than a quick one. ❤️

Meet Nugget! 🐾Nugget is a 10-month-old Mastiff/Dane mix who is, quite simply, a BIG ball of puppy wrapped up in an even bigger body! ❤️This sweet boy was found as a stray, and despite whatever adventures life had him on before, Nugget has never met a person he didn't want to love. He is seriously, ridiculously sweet and has so much love to give. He’s goofy, affectionate, playful, and full of that lovable puppy energy that makes you laugh one minute and shake your head the next. 😂Now, we should talk about the other side of being a giant 10-month-old puppy: Nugget has basically no manners yet. 😂 He knows sit... when he feels like listening, which, let's be honest, is not always! He is still learning how to be a good canine citizen and will need someone willing to put the time and consistency into basic obedience and training.Because of his size and puppy exuberance, a home without small children is strongly recommended while he works on his manners. An adopter with experience handling and training large-breed dogs would be wonderful for him, especially someone who understands that big dogs are still babies when they're only 10 months old.Nugget isn't looking for perfection. He just needs someone who will give him structure, patience, consistency, love, and a stable place to land. With the right person putting the work in, this big goofy boy has so much potential to become an incredible companion.If you're looking for a giant, lovable, slightly chaotic puppy who will make you laugh every day and love you with his whole heart, Nugget might just be your guy. 🥰🐾An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $250.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice.Cats and kittens are minimum donation $50.00
