Who is looking for a Gentle Giant in a compact body? At 55lbs, Bruce is the perfect 'small' sized large dog. Bruce was a stray that turned up at someone's house and a neighbor took him in trying to find his family. Sadly no one has stepped forward for this boy. He is a very sweet boy who is very cautious of noises, barks, cars etc. He is learning to sit on command and is working on his leash manners. He hasn't shown any aggression and is generally a slow easy-going guy. He enjoys laying down with his foster family and being petted. He likes to run down the deck stairs into the backyard, around to the other side, and back up. When he runs around in the yard, he lopes around playfully, which he didn't do 2 weeks ago! He is starting to open up for us. We are still learning about Bruce as he begins to come out of his shell, but his foster dad says, 'I can see signs of a great dog!' Daisy had the pleasure of being in an amazing foster home for a few weeks. Her foster tells us that she does well with dogs of all sizes and she gets along well with cats. She has a sweet and gentle demeanor and loves being part of a pack. She can be a little hesitate at first, but warms up quickly with gradual introduction. She has some things to learn, and the best part is that she learns quickly. She will sit pretty when food is the main attraction. SAME Daisy! SAME! The staff and foster feel it would be beneficial for the adopter of this big beautiful girl to have some knowledge and experience in big dogs as it can be overwhelming when she's playful or gets the zoomies. Belle originally came to us as an 8 week old puppy found as a stray. She was adopted and then at 14 months old because adopters had not provided any training and were started to struggle with adolescent shepherd behaviors. She is currently living in a foster home with 9 other dogs and doing well. She is high energy and likes to play hard. While she has been around children, we do not recommend small children due to her size and energy level. She is crate trained and potty trained. She would do best in a home with a fenced in yard, and someone who is committed to ongoing training. Belle is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
