Story
Quest and his brother were found on a rural road in Mississippi. The temperatures were frigid and these pup would not have lasted much longer. It is a cruel practice to abandon animals in rural areas but in freezing temperatures is even worse. Please consider giving them a home where they feel safe and secure.THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN SAVING A LIFE!Volunteers and staff are excited to assist you in the adoption process! Lisa, our 3-year-old mastiff mix, is known for her gentle and dainty nature when interacting with other dogs. She is a mellow companion who simply enjoys being close to her humans. It is recommended that Lisa finds a home without small children. It may take some time for her to feel comfortable and open up in new surroundings. Come meet me at our Matteson Adoption Center

Not good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bailey Age: 2 years Gender: Female Breed: Mastiff mix Weight: 100lbs Crate trained: Yes Potty trained: Yes Dog friendly: No Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Unknown Vaccinated: Yes Spayed/Neutered: Yes Heartworm: Negative Microchipped: Yes Energy level: Medium, can and will find things she can destroy if not watched or exercised regularly. Location: Fostered in Chicago, Illinois. No out of state applicants, please. Bailey came to us as a skinny, terrified, stray dog that would have likely been euthanized at animal control. Her finder spent days gaining her trust to get her off the streets, and offered to foster her. Bailey has blossomed since first being found. She loves to be outside. Very protective of her people. Loves to roll in the grass. Sweetie pie. Loves to eat. Enjoys stealing wet cat food. Not a fan of other dogs. Still working on her walking calm when others are too close for her comfort but she’s a protective breed and watches over her foster mom. She doesn’t care for bike riders. Bailey is a sweetie pie that thinks she's a small lap dog. She's happy just to be with you. She loves long walks and playing outside but if you just want to stay inside and watch a movie she's content to put her big head on your lap and watch the movie with you. Bailey would do best in a quiet home with adults only. If you’re interested in meeting Bailey, please fill out an application at the link below. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DHDN/Dog
