Leo is from a litter of eight puppies. He is 5 years old. His dad is a Mastiff- bulldog mix. His Mom is a Cocker-bull. Leo has been well taken care of. He is gentle & very loving. He loves to run & play ball outside. He is house trained, and he follows commands such as Sit, No, Stay, Shake, Bark & many more! Leo loves chicken. Leo loves to be petted. He will sleep in the bed if you let him. He is used being free in the house when we leave home. He is kennel trained when need be. He is very gentle with kids and loves other dogs. He has not been around cats. He responds to questions such as "You want to go outside?" "Do you want a treat?' Do you want chicken?" He likes car rides and have been on 6-hour car trips, (no food before the ride, though!) The reason we are trying to re-home Leo is because we just had a baby and Leo is not getting the attention he deserves; we live in an apt. and can't afford dog food & vet expenses. We love him & so will you! We want what's best for him.

Princess is a sweet 5-year-old mastiff/bloodhound mix. She is deaf so needs a home that understands this. She is so much fun to play with!!! To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email ARL-Adoption@arl-iowa.org.---- Big goofball who loves playing in the yard and with toys - Likes being around people - Has been doing well with housetraining and crate-training in his foster home; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new schedule - Has been doing very well with other dogs in his foster home and might enjoy a calm dog friend in his new home - Can be shy and would benefit from continued confidence-building in his new home; ARL training classes would be great for that and for learning all his basic skills, too - Had double cherry eye surgery at the ARL and is doing well now (more info at ARL) - Experienced some swelling on his right leg that went away on its own; we are unsure of the cause and cannot guarantee that the swelling will not return in the future The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 74.6 Age: 1yrs 3mths 1wks
