Story
Roscoe is looking for a new forever home. Do you want to adopt this gentle giant? Although he is 4.5 years old and over 100 pounds--he'd be a lap dog if he could fit! He loves to snuggle, car rides, and is polite and mellow. Roscoe is house and kennel trained! Roscoe is learning commands and does know how to "sit!" Roscoe will need a strong human to walk him as he is still learning not to pull on his leash, especially at the beginning of the walk when he's super excited to get going. On walks, Roscoe does bark at other dog friends. Roscoe hasn't been tested around other dogs. Due to his size, he may need a home with older children, simply because he could get over excited and hump or knock a little one over by accident. Roscoe will come fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is already paid by a generous sponsor, so Roscoe has $0 fee due upon adoption. Apply to adopt Roscoe today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog or at www.lucky13rescue.org.

Story
Luna is a sweet girl. Luna and Duckie (who has a seperate listing) were brought to our house my husband agreed for 30 days. 30 days went by, 60, 90, etc. with no move by the owner to move them out. However, at this point they have been with us for way too long. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats of our own so, Luna and Duckie reside in the basement. They go out multiple times a day, have toys, lots of room to run but its not fair. They can hear us upstairs, it makes me so sad. We spend as much time with them as possible and let them run in the yard in the evenings and on weekends. It's just not enough, in my opinion. It's now been several months since we've heard anything about their former owner coming to get them AND she got another dog!! Please help us find forever homes! Luna loves to have her belly rubbed and any type of booty scratches are great too. She Is a squirrel chaser and not fond of dogs in other yards. She will talk a lot when she knows you have a treat

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Virginia (virginiak@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.  Meet Mack!  Mack is a big goof ball male mastiff – boxer mix, maybe toss in some hound too, but overall, he’s just a good boy looking for a caring home.  Mack’s larger in size, and while he gets along with some other dogs he prefers females and he needs a home with no cats.  This makes it harder for him to find the right home of course, but we know someone will fall in love with his goofy antics and snuggly persona if given the opportunity.  We would like to see Mack find a home with someone dog savvy, who will continue to work with him once adopted.  Mack’s been in the program for a while which can start to affect their behavior when surrounded by many other boarded dogs.  For this reason, we hope Mack finds a home soon, and is given the opportunity for a home he deserves.   Approximate Birthdate:  October 2019 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.     For more information please fill out an application.     CONTACT INFO The Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA) Web site: tarasdream.org Adoption Information & Applications: https://tarasdream.org/adopt Upcoming Adoption Events: https://tarasdream.org/events Email: email@tarasdream.org April 18, 2024, 9:44 pm

Story
Kevin, our friend from the City of Raytown, needs a foster or adopter. He's an amazing mastiff, maybe boxer? mix around two years of age and approximately 70lbs. This guy walks like a dream on leash, knows sit and shake, and loves to cuddle. He can be cat tested before placement but as of right now, we don't believe he will have any restrictions. Kevin is gentle and good with kids, appears to be housebroken, curious but friendly with other dogs, and loves to be loved. Kevin is part of a cruelty case for being chained and abandoned inside of a vacant home, but don't let that hold you back. Kevin hasn't looked back since we brought him in. He was a bit nervous in the kennel at first so the Animal Control Officer sat with him for a bit letting him adjust in her lap and he's been fine since. Stunning boy with a personality to match. He's an all around perfect gentleman. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you're interested in giving Kevin a hand with a temporary or permanent home. He's in the KC metro but transport might be available to the right home.
