Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Angelia | 2 years old | 65lbs | Good with Dogs | Good with Older Kids | Housetrained  Angelina’s story is about a second chance. She was rescued from the shelter with only hours left before being euthanized. When she was there, she was very scared. The shelter was a hard place for her, and she spent almost half of her young life there. Angelina is only 2 years old, and she is now learning what it feels like to be safe and cared for in her foster home. The scared dog who once sat quietly in a kennel is starting to relax and show her sweet, loving personality. She is a beautiful and gentle dog who just needs someone to give her a chance. With a patient and loving family, Angelina has everything it takes to become a wonderful companion and a loyal family dog. The adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet.  All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age.  Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Story
-- ! - for my personal foster! Please share    (Raleigh, NC or Roanoke/Lynchburg, VA areas)   Hi Everyone! My sweet foster buddy, Tuesday , is in need of a loving Long Term Foster or Foster-to-adopt home as soon as possible. The company for which I work, is mandating my dept. return to the office 4 days a week   Tuesday ,is a very good boy who has lots of tail wags, gentle kisses, and cuddling to share! He is a very happy boy who deserves to be adored as much as he adores his people.   Come meet Tuesday – he will steal your heart !    • Age: ~10 years young • Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mastiff mix • Weight: 59 lbs • Neutered, heartworm negative, healthy heart & lungs • Personality: Sweet, gentle, loyal, and easy-going, but always excited and ready to go for a car ride or walk!   ! ’ ! • LOVES people of all ages (great with kids!) • Gentle, affectionate, and loyal! • Enjoys walks, car rides, and toys  • Great with cats (lives with two currently) • Dog selective – does well with the right match • Smart, treat and praise-motivated, easily redirected • E-Collar trained (only needed for dog reactivity training) • Lifetime support from Haven Dog Training • Crate trained – sleeps great at night! Short periods during the day is best as he would prefer to be on his bed or the couch with his people!   • Arthritis in his spine and hips – well managed with daily anti-inflammatories • After a year in foster, he’s become protective/reactive to unfamiliar dogs outside the home. He needs slow introductions and supervision for new friends.   Tuesday would do best in a home where he isn’t crated for long hours during the day. He’s trustworthy left out of his crate and loves being part of his people’s daily life.   *: . () . ( )     Tuesday will have all the things he needs - his own large home crate, travel crate, bed, toys, bowl, food etc.    AND, if needed, his current foster Mom will be happy to babysit for vacations etc, and/or accept him back on a short term basis for any reason. Carolina Animal Network Things to know about Tuesday:-------------------------------*8 Years+ old, neutered male, Labrador Retriever/Mastiff mix (~59lbs)*VERY SWEET, gentle dog!  Loves ALL people / kids*Smart & Easy Going. Story
Meet Gisele, our favorite gentle giant. Through no fault of her own, Gisele found herself in a shelter after what is believed to have been a life spent as a breeder. Once she reached middle age, she was discarded at a pound, and her sweet nature quickly won over shelter staff, who worked hard to get her into rescue. At 5–6 years old, this beautiful brindle Mastiff is impossible not to love. She has only one eye- the other was surgically removed before she arrived but it doesn’t slow her down one bit. This beautiful lady tested heartworm negative at the shelter; however, she did undergo treatment for Lyme, which may or may not be a chronic illness (it’s too soon to retest). She has shown no signs of Lyme illness. She is currently also undergoing treatment for an ear infection. This infection was severe, likely because it was left untreated for a long time. She does well with her foster mom looking at or cleaning her ears but prefers to have them left along for now due to the pain. Gisele is doing wonderfully with house training and thrives on a consistent routine. While she had a few pee accidents in her first few weeks in foster, she has done wonderfully adapting to routine and has not had any accidents in several weeks. She’s deeply devoted to her people and appears to experience some separation anxiety, likely because she’s finally learning what it feels like to be loved. For longer times alone, she is currently staying in an indescribable crate and it’s likely her new home should invest in one of these. Her foster mom does allow her to stay out in the house uncrated for shorter trips (half an hour or less) and she has done relatively well. During the day, she’s happiest curled up at her foster mom’s feet, snoring contentedly while mom works. Gisele lives peacefully with two dogs and even a cat, greeting every person and pet with a wagging tail. Her gentle, affectionate personality makes her a friend to everyone she meets. While she has done extremely well at smaller adoption events, she does get stressed out at larger ones so she would probably prefer not being a bar/restaurant dog but she does love a short stroll through her neighborhood or local park. Despite her size, Gisele is easy to walk on a leash and enjoys short strolls. She especially loves splashing in the lake near her foster home and takes every opportunity to wade into the water. Gisele has spent years giving to others; now it’s her turn to be cherished. She is a loving, loyal companion looking for a soft place to rest, a family to call her own, and plenty of head scratches. If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted best friend, Gisele may be the happy ending you’ve both been waiting for.

Story
Meet handsome on long legs with big old lips and energy and personality out the wazooo. Higgs is NOT joking about bringing big dog energy and big love to your life! Higgs definitely has some shepherd looks but there is absolutely some other ingredients in there as evidenced by his jowls and his size. He weighs about 60 lbs now and is surely underweight so large and strapping is his look! Higgs loves to be active, loves running and playing and is ready for the cushy life too! He is food motivated and will be a great candidate for training of any kind. Active is the key word as Higgs isn't interested in a sedentary lifestyle unless it comes after lots of fun and games. He is sweet, a little shy and a lot wonderful...waiting for you. **Hiking feedback: " He was very friendly and just wanted pets and lovin. Higgs was super excited to be out and about and definitely loves to explore !
