Calm, patient introductions are his love language. 💙 💨 Fast Movements: Quick or unexpected movements can make him nervous, so he does best with people who understand that confidence takes time. ❤️ Once He Chooses You: Watch out—once Brady decides you’re his person, you’ve got a loyal friend for life! 🥰 👧 Kid Friendly: Brady enjoys children and does well with them when they aren’t overly rambunctious. 🐱 Cats: No cats, please. 🏠 House Training: A work in progress, but Brady is learning! 🛏️ Crate Comfort: He is clean and comfortable in his crate and has figured out that it’s a nice place to relax. 🦮 Leash Skills: Brady walks well on a leash and is ready to enjoy some adventures with his forever family! 🎓 Smart Guy: He knows sit and down and is working on stay. 🦴 Treat Expert… Sort Of: Brady takes treats VERY nicely… now if only someone could teach him how to actually catch one! 😂🍪 🎉 Fun Side Loading…: His funny, playful personality is coming out more and more as his confidence grows. 💞 The Brady Experience: Give him a little time to learn that you’re safe, approach him calmly and patiently, and watch that shy little shell start to crack. Before you know it, Brady will be loving you with his whole big heart. ❤️🐾 ✨ Brady isn’t looking for someone to rush him—he’s looking for someone willing to let him bloom. And we have a feeling the wait will be worth it! ✨ Age: 3.5 years Adoption Fee: $350 MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Story

Live alone? Need a ‘protector’ of sorts? Moose is the best man for the job! He would like to submit his application now. He’ll gladly take just room and board (he’s a food whore, will eat anything in your fridge) and lots of love for the job! Moose has a fierce loyalty to the people he loves. He is extremely affectionate and loving. He does not skim on kisses He loves laying next to his people, just chilling and being in the moment with them. Outside, he loves to play fetch. He’ll play fetch until the cows come home. This boy brings the ball back and patiently waits for it to be thrown again. He also chases birds and small animals so no cats for Moosey Goosey! Moose loves the outdoors. He’ll literally hang out outside all day if you let him. Moose is 4.5 years old, 75lb Mix breed. He is looking for an adult only home due to his initial distrust of people he does not know. Moose is terrified of the world. He is hoping his new family will be patient and show him how to trust. He yearns to be understood, gain confidence and freely love and trust. He is fiercely loyal and protective of the ones he loves but getting there is a journey. The end results is so rewarding, though. You will be so loved, and you will never feel scared or alone again. A fenced yard is a must.

Story

Meet Daisy — Your Adorable Mini Cow! Moo-ve over, everyone! Daisy is looking for a family to call her own, and this sweet girl is ready to steal your heart! With her adorable black-and-white cow markings, happy tail wags, and signature tippy-toe dance when she sees you, Daisy is a whole lot of love wrapped up in one cute little package.Daisy is a female Boxer/Mastiff mix weighing 60 pounds, and she’ll be celebrating her 3rd birthday on December 29th. She came to us as an owner surrender due to a divorce in the family, and now she’s hoping her next chapter will be filled with love, adventure, and a forever home.Daisy can be a little nervous in the shelter, but once she’s out of her kennel, she’s ready to GO, GO, GO! She’s a happy, sweet, and social girl who loves attention and enjoys getting outside for physical activities. Just be prepared — if Daisy spots a squirrel, she may suddenly decide she’s training for the squirrel-chasing Olympics. Daisy is very strong on leash, so she’ll need a confident, strong handler who can help her put her best paw forward.Once Daisy gets to know you, her friendly personality shines. She has a medium energy level and would love an active family who can give her plenty of opportunities to explore, exercise, and enjoy life. She previously lived with another dog and did well, so a canine companion may be a possibility with proper introductions. As always, a meet and greet is required with your dog is required. She also lived with children and did well. She has no exposure to cats.Daisy also has some great house manners! Her previous owner reports that she is housetrained, and she keeps her kennel clean here at the shelter. She was accustomed to sleeping in her crate at night and knows her basic commands of “sit” and “stay.” One thing to know about our little cowgirl: cars aren`t really her cup of tea. She isn`t a fan of car rides or cars passing on the street, so she`ll need a patient family willing to help her build confidence around them. The good news? Daisy is ready to start her new life. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $160.If you`re looking for a sweet, social, adventure-loving companion with a wiggly tail, a little tippy-toe dance, and the cutest mini-cow look around, Daisy might just be your girl!Daisy is ready to moo-ve right into your heart! Could you be the family she`s been waiting for? Come meet this adorable girl and give her the loving forever home she deserves.

Story

Say Hello to Sonny! Looking for a big, shy and sweet, fun-loving guy? Then you need to meet Sonny. Sonny is a handsome male Mastiff mix weighing 62 pounds and estimated to be 1-2 years old. He was found as a stray, and sadly, no one came looking for him. This sweet boy is ready to leave his stray days behind and find the family he’s been waiting for. And what does Sonny think is the best thing in the world? Fetch! Throw a ball in one of our play yards and Sonny is on it. He has a high energy level and loves running, playing, and having a good time. We can just imagine him living his best life with a fenced-in yard where he can zoom, romp, and show off his impressive athletic skills.Sonny is also a total sweetheart. He’s playful, affectionate, and eager to interact with his people. He does have some leash manners to work on—when Sonny sees something interesting, he’s ready to go, go, GO! Because of his size and strength, he’ll need a strong, confident handler who can help him learn that walks are about strolling, not towing your person down the sidewalk. A little general training would do wonders for this big boy. Sonny is ready to learn how to walk nicely on leash, build his confidence, and discover that the world is actually a pretty wonderful place. With patience, consistency, and some tasty treats, we think this smart guy could become an awesome companion. His compatibility with cats, dogs, and children is currently unknown. As always, a meet and greet with resident dogs is required.Sonny is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which means you can welcome him into your home while he completes his veterinary care, including his neuter, vaccines, microchipping, and heartworm disease testing. If you’re ready for a playful adventure buddy who will keep you laughing and your tennis-ball supply very busy, Sonny just might be your guy. To meet Sonny, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and complete a dog adoption application online. Sonny’s adoption fee is $160.

Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,

Story

Rufus is a 3 1/2-year-old Male Shepherd mix. He was found as a stray on Carlton rd. His favorite game to play is fetch, and he is VERY treat motivated. Rufus is also a professional at tearing up his stuffed animals! He also knows sit, lie down, and paw! Rufus would highly benefit from some professional training. He can be very mouthy and does not like putting on a leash. He also can be very picky with the other dogs here at the shelter. So, we recommend a home with no other dogs. Rufus is a dog that you will need to come in and spend a lot of time with so he can get familiar with you. Dogs are available to meet before their adoption date. The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP, Bordetella , microchipped, a 1 year rabies vaccine, heartworm checked, 40X, and a current 1 year dog license. If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:00PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.
