She's about 3 1/2 years old and Spice had it rough in the past. She ended up in the wrong homes twice, but that's all in the past and we're not going to let her down.....we have to find her the best home ever! She deserves it! Spice is all mastiff! She's going to protect you, she's going to lean on you, staring at you lovingly while practically knocking you over, and she may not like every stranger instantly but she does love people once she gets to know them.   Spice is about 125 lbs. but she's actually very good on a leash, she loves car rides, swimming, even baths! She's playful and loves her toys, and she's well-mannered too. Spice is one-woman-show, meaning no other pets for her.  She will  love you with her whole heart and will be your best, most loyal friend forever. She just needs the chance! Story
We are all celebrating because TATE IS HW- AND IS OFFICIALLY CLEARED TO GO ON TRANSPORT TO A FOREVER HOME 🏡 🥳 Tate is a big, handsome snuggle bug that is searching for his forever family🏡 Tate came into rescue already a 100% good boy and ready for his forever home. He is around 6 years old & a wonderful, settled pup. He is a mastiff mix that is respectful with his size and loves to give us a big beautiful smile in exchange for belly rubs🥰 Tate gets along with everyone he meets, human and animal alike, and we think he would do well in a home with or without furry siblings. He is currently in a home with two other male dogs and they get along wonderfully! He is very passive and friendly. More than anything, he wants a couch and a bed to snuggle up on and some people to spend his days with. He also LOVES car rides and will rest his head on the dash while being your shotgun rider💕 Tate is housetrained, walks well on a leash and is great with kids! He needs to be in a home without cats, but we know there is a perfect, cat-free home out there! If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
If you follow DDDR, then you already know who this sweet girl is. But for those of you who may not know her, let me introduce you to Betty Lou! Betty Lou came to our rescue as a neglect case. After some TLC, good antibiotics and 3 surgeries...she is ready for her forever home 🥰 Betty Lou is an approximate 8 year old Mastiff (over 100lbs). Don't let her age scare you, she now has a clean bill of health and a lot of love to give. If considering adopting, ask yourself these questions: Would you enjoy having a 4 legged shadow? Are you ever cold at night and think, wow a dog to keep me warm sure would be nice? Ever have concerns that your sofa may run away and a dog to hold it down would be just the trick? Need a companion for car rides? Enjoy the sound of dog snores? If you answered YES to all of these questions, then Betty Lou is the girl for you! Betty Lou is also house broken, spayed, dog/cat friendly and loves kids. We assume a man was not nice to her at some point in her life because she is shy around men (warms up in time). Please reach out if Betty Lou sounds like the dog for you

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Fill out an Adoption Application Daisy is a wrinkly 150-pound Neapolitan mastiff, a superstar pop singer looking for her forever bandmates. History: She came to MTM from Virginia Beach, VA.  She was purchased from a breeder and given to another family before being surrendered to MTM.  Likes:  Daisy's love language is physical touch.  Not necessarily to be pet, but she always has to know you’re nearby.  She will lie on your feet to be as close as she can.  She loves treats and will “talk” to you when she knows you’re about to give her one.  Dislikes:  She dislikes being alone for long periods of time and gets anxious. Personality: Sweet, loveable, playful, and easygoing.  Temperament: Gentle despite her size.  She is calm and intelligent.  Great on a leash and at the vet.  She takes meds with no issues and has no issue being handled. Energy level: She has low energy; sometimes may enjoy bursts of activity but is mostly laid-back and relaxed.  She enjoys walks but has no need for an intense exercise session. Favorite activities: Most definitely is laying on the floor as close as possible to her family.  Her ideal day consists of a movie marathon and simply being with her humans.  She does like other dogs, but her humans are #1.  She is also a beautiful singer and loves to serenade her family Challenges: Daisy wants to be closest to her humans, so if other Velcro dogs are in the house it could hurt some feelings.  She would do better with other dogs in the home that are not Velcro so she can get her love bucket overflowing.  She does have the potential for separation anxiety. Any Medical issues? Daisy recently had her double entropion surgery for her cherry eyes as well as TPLO surgery and is recovering nicely.  She still has some chronic skin issues so will need an owner who can give her a daily wipe down of her wrinkles.   What would be the best kind of home? Daisy would love a work-from-home parent.  She adores people, loves car rides, and would be a wonderful vacation companion.  A single-level home or limited access to stairs would be best for her.  She will also need an owner to keep her face, eyes, and wrinkles cleaned and able to bathe her once a week.       Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. Our rescue policy requires the following: Adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina. We will not adopt a giant breed dog to homes where the dog will have access to highly varnished hardwood steps inside the home. Any inside steps to which the dog(s) have access, must have carpeting, securely fixed stair treads, or a non-skid surface. We encourage you to remediate potential safety issues while your application is under review, prior to the home visit. Methods or devices using pain or force on the dog to control the dog, or to deter undesirable behavior is prohibited. Applications for giant breed dogs must be submitted by the property owner. Homes with children under 6 years of age will not be approved for adoption. Homes with children should have a fenced yard. Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. Veterinary records will be checked. All references must be checked before any visitation of the dog is permitted at the foster home. All family members must be present during the home visit to the applicant's home. Any dog(s) in the applicant's home must have an introductory meeting with the rescue dog being considered, before any adoption can be completed. Homes with intact dogs will not be approved for adoption. Exceptions to this policy can be found on the Adoptable Dog Page. Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue reserves the right to approve or deny any adoption that occurs through this organization without disclosure.  We reserve the right to make exceptions for special circumstances.
