Meet Bennett, a Mastiff mix surrendered to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 1/30. She weighs 80 pounds, is about 2 years old and is spayed. Owner adopted her from another shelter 8 months ago. Owner reported on the surrender form that Bennett lived indoors, lived with and is OK with children and lived with and is fine with larger dogs. She does not do well with cats. Bennett cannot be in a home with cats or small dogs. She is house trained and walks well on a leash. She is a OK with loving attention and when standing next to you will lean into you. She is friendly, energetic and lively. She likes treats. Bennett knows the sit command. She spent a lot of time looking out the gate in the yard and standing up and putting her paws on the ledge in the meet and greet room looking out the windows. I have no doubt she was looking for and missing her owner. Will you consider giving this girl a place in your heart and home?

Boomer is the sweetest. He prefers females and follows me everywhere keeping an eye on me wherever I go. He likes to talk, and says "Mama." He is very smart and minds. I swear he knows English. I can tell him to go eat his food and he will mind me. I can tell him to go to his dog house and clean his feet and he does. He loves car rides with the windows down. He needs to be an inside dog as that is all he has known. He is mostly a dog who just chills and lays around but still loves to play especially with our Goldendoodle. He even plays gently with small dogs. He will lay on his back and let my moms little Shitzu jump all over him and play. I love him but I am getting a divorce and my friend I will room with has cats and Booner will nip at them. Please serious inquiries only. Thank you!!

Boomer's was adopted after a neighbor had a litter of pups. As his family grew over the year, they welcome in a baby to the home. He is wonderful with the baby but due to his size, they feel he would do best in a home with older children as he can easily knock into the infant without meaning any harm. This handsome brindle guy is great with other dogs but we have yet to see him around cats. He is crate trained and house broken. He would do great with an active home to show him the love and attention he deserves. Boomer has been brought current on vaccinations, he is neutered, microchipped and heartworm negative. All he needs now is you!
