Background: Bonnie was rehomed at 3 months due to her original family's allergies. She's loving but has displayed aggression at times with people, needing patient handling. Personality: Bonnie is dynamic and loving, craving human interaction. She's food-motivated, excelling in training, yet can show resource-guarding tendencies, especially with her toys. Bonnie enjoys fetch and gets along with submissive dogs. She experiences separation anxiety and fear of thunderstorms. Ideal Home: Active owners in a child-free environment with experience handling her aggression. A home with submissive dogs and a secure yard is ideal. Bonnie needs understanding and patient owners who can manage her separation anxiety and fear of thunderstorms. Additional Notes: Initially nervous around new people, Bonnie warms up with treats. She requires consistent training and understanding to overcome her aggression and fears. With patience and love, Bonnie will become a loyal family member.

Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Gentle of spirit and quiet by nature, little Bonita may have had a rough start but keeps her diminutive head held high! A touch underweight at 21lbs this pretty petite lady may not be the biggest fan of larger dogs, and is avoidant(with a few low growls to make it clear she's not interested) of cats and would make a fabulous only pet for a low-key family. With her body on the road to health, and her spirits bright, Bonita eagerly waits for a home to call her own. Just one look into her soulful eyes could melt even the coldest heart, perhaps she can charm her way into your life? *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $225 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!

Story
Hey! Iggy Pup here. I have a "Lust for Life" and would love to share my story with you.....My owner went to the county shelter and tried to surrender me and my five buddies. They turned her away but provided rehoming resources. Well, she was not interested in that so she took off and left us abandoned in her apartment. Animal Control was called out and we were impounded. SCARY! The shelter sent out a plea for help and we were all thankfully rescued. My buddy Eggbert and I were taken into SCP. I am about 8-10 years old and I have slight cataracts and arthritis. Don't worry, this doesn't keep me down! I love going for short walks and sitting with my humans on a recliner:) I am great with other dogs and even cats! I am a couch potato at heart with bouts of energy. Hopefully I have many, many more years in me- my bloodwork was great and I will be getting a dental very soon! I have medium length fur that needs a good brushing every now and again but doesn't have to be professionally trimmed. I am looking for my forever home and hoping to find this through SCP. I will sleep with you and I am potty trained - I can even be crated- I am very quiet! I am a friendly guy and love all of my peeps..... especially anyone is has food, I'm a total piggy!. If you are interested in me, please send an email to us! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! All dogs typically show on Saturdays at the Petco in Clear Lake as well. 2410 Bay Area Blvd near Space Center. Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.May 1, 2024, 11:03 am
