Meet Herbert, a playful and loyal 5.5 year old Red Miniture Pincher. We adopted Herbert near the end of August 2025 from Orange County Animal Care Shelter and fell in love with him at first sight. We knew he would be a great addition to our family and other small dog (chihuahua/dachshund mix) and he has been nothing but great with her, they quickly became fast friends. We have two children, a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old baby, and as much patience as Herbert has, our toddler just terrorizes him and is too rough with him. Herbert has nipped at her a few times because of our toddler chasing and provoking him to retaliate. With that said, again he is an amazing and loyal pup plus super friendly, but we don’t believe young children to be a suitable fit for Herbert. He does really well with the 6 month old baby and is a great watchdog for her and her sister, but the wild and craziness that toddlers can bring we believe can overstimulate Herbert and cause issues. Older children OK!

Senior seeking senior! This guy loves people and is everyone’s friend. He will co-exist with other dogs as long as they respect his boundaries. He loves his crate and sleeps in it. Short walks are wonderful but stairs are a challenge with his arthritis. He takes a daily medication which keeps him comfortable. He loves to ride in the car and is in a loving foster home. His past is not great as he was rescued from an abusive home that was charged with cruelty.

Meet this Mutt mix boy who happy, playful pup! 🐾 He’s a crate-trained sweetheart who gets along great with other dogs and absolutely loves to play. He’s wonderful with kids and has a gentle, affectionate nature that makes him a perfect family companion. He’s still getting used to car rides but is making good progress, especially when he knows he’s heading somewhere fun. One of his most charming traits is his big smile when he sees someone he recognizes—it’s impossible not to fall in love. He’s a total cuddle bug who enjoys being close and soaking up affection. He’s still working on house training and improving every day with consistency and patience. This lovable boy is full of joy, personality, and love, and he’s ready to bring lots of smiles to his forever home. 🐶❤️ He is crate trained sleeps in the crate at night - loves to explore the backyard in foster home - very playful and great with kids. Boys are 6 months old- supposedly parents are Maltipoo but surely doesn't like it at all -- we think they are mixed with something else we will be doing DNA test to see what mix is - little nervous but overall very sweet boys. Puppy criteria- MUST HAVE another dog in the home between ages of 1-4 years old- under 20 pounds - will not make exceptions -- However if someone is willing to adopt two puppies from our rescue we are totally okay with that.
