Say hi to LeeJu! A sweet, happy girl! Leeju was found on the street in South Korea at just 2 months old and sent to a high-risk city shelter along with her four siblings. Luckily, she was rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team and sent to her foster home 2 months later. Her foster family has been taking good care of her since, and she’s been living peacefully with the resident dog. Leeju is now more than ready for a furever home! > Personality: Friendly, Curious, Happy Leeju is a curious and happy pup! Her energy level is mid-low as she mostly chills in a kennel at home and prefers to have light walkies mainly for the bathroom. > Relationships - with dogs: Super friendly with other dogs as long as they are not too large or aggressive. She doesn’t respond to barking dogs either. She currently lives with the resident dog in her foster home, so she will be a good fit for a family with other furry companions. - with cats: Good with cats. No aggression. - with adults/kids: Good with both adults & kids. She is calm even when kids pet her. She can be a great addition to any type of family! > Walking manners: Well-mannered. She pays attention to what her person commands. > Shedding (on a scale of 1 to 10): 6 > Food allergies/Picky eater: No. She likes any sort of food! > Potty (indoor/outdoor): Fully housebroken, mainly using the bathroom outdoors but sometimes indoors when she can’t go outside. > Bathing/Brushing: Very good > Separation anxiety: None > Barking: Almost none. A little bit towards continued noise from outside the house > Car rides: Not anymore. She got better at car rides. Her foster tries to walk her for the quick bathroom before jumping into the car. > Likes/Dislikes: She loves being petted on her face while snuggling up to your side! / She usually doesn’t like being held or hugged but automatically becomes a lapdog at a hospital😂 She feels cold easily due to her short coat. > Current living situation: in foster, South Korea > Health Issues: She had a congenital malformation that caused popping out of the kneecap, or luxating patella. Thus, she had surgery on her both hind legs at 2.5 years old in Oct 2021. Now, she is super healthy and active without showing signs of pain as you can see in her video, though she still needs attention to maintaining her weight so that her joint doesn’t get pressure. Looking for a tiny hiking buddy? A dog for your dog? Sweet Chi mix Simone could be your gal! 4-year-old Simone has quickly blossomed in foster care and now it’s her turn to be somebody’s baby! Shy at first, she absolutely shines once she warms up to you. Simone is crate trained, house trained, sleeps quietly in her crate all night, rides well in the car, and is happy running errands and going to lunch. She also loves chilling in your lap for movie night but is not needy. Simone is NOT a yappy dog. Simone has a high prey drive, so any adopter will have to commit to keep her leashed as she loves to chase. She also has potential to be an escape artist so supervision while in a yard is also needed. Simone is happy pup who deserves a loving home. She will make an adorable companion to the lucky people who adopt her!

HENRIETTE-URGENT-Sponsorship: Henriette is awaiting life-saving specialty surgery or radiation treatment (preferred) to remove a tumor on her thyroid gland. It is not malignant but causes an extremely high thyroid count. If it is not removed Henriette will die. Our regular veterinarians won’t do the surgery and have referred us to several specialists to do this very delicate surgery or equally delicate radiation which will cost $12,000 to $14,000. Even with an added 15% rescue discount, it is more money than we can ever raise. We are seeking help! We have no funds left. We have spent nearly $2000 for all her diagnostics—specialty ultrasounds, blood panels, cardiology assessment at MASH, urinalysis and other needed tests, medications, holistic treatments and supplements which we hope will help until we are able to raise the funds necessary for her urgent procedure. Henriette is also on expensive "Just Food For Dogs", human grade food, is fed several times a day, and gets a whole host of supplements and vitamins. Donations can also be made directly to the veterinarian and The Nature Network Inc., a 501c3 non-profit, will provide a donation receipt for tax deductions. We rescued Henriette from the Orange County Animal Shelter, where she was out of time and living her final days. Henriette loves her doggy playmates and they would miss Hen terribly if she died. Henriette is spayed and current on her vaccinations.
