Fontina is being fostered in PA. Tina is a sweetheart! Her absolute favorite activity is cuddling next to her humans! She burrows under a blanket every chance she gets. When Tina came to BDRA, she had a little extra weight on her. She is now down a whole dress size! She went from a medium harness to a small one. She is completely blind but navigates well around the house. She goes up and down the stairs without any help. She sleeps in bed with her people and uses the doggie steps to get up and down. When she isn't snuggling on the couch, she likes to chew on her bones. Tina likes to be outside and take walks. She loves snacks and can hear a bag open from a mile away! Tina loves people and especially loves when they rub her belly and give her butt scratches! She is good around other dogs but isn't very interested in them. She lived with other dogs in her previous foster home. When they bumped into her, she would get mad and grumble, but that's all. One time, she stepped on her little foster brother and he went after her so she just grumbled and held him down with her paw. Tina is a silly pup who loves to be with her people. She is a lovebug who is just waiting for her perfect forever family! BDRA voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Midnight is being fostered in PA. Midnite is such a sweet, loving, cuddly little girl. She will be 1 year old in June. She will let you know when she has to go outside to go potty. She is good with both boy and girl dogs of all sizes. We were told she is also good with cats. Midnite knows some commands and is very smart. She loves playing with toys and will throw them up and pounce on them. Her sight is not perfect but she can see well enough to get around. She does stairs just fine and can jump up on things and down off them, such as the couch or bed. She sleeps with her foster mommy at night and is a very good girl. Midnite is good on the leash and just so happy to meet everyone. She would love a home with a fence and also go for walks. She would be another fur sibling’s best buddy to play with. Midnite has so much love to give. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effectively immediately.

Meet Obi Wan Kenobi, Obi for short. He is about a year old, unneutered with a docked tail and uncropped ears. He is 16" tall and weighs 18 lbs. Obi was found wandering around a truck stop in Georgia. He has since made his way to his current foster home in Virginia. Not a thing is known about Obi's past, but he is hoping for a bright future in his own home. He is friendly with visitors and does well with older kids. He hasn't been introduced to other dogs yet. Leroy Brown is a one year old, energenic and excited dog. His birthday is 3/11/23. He loves his crate and his toys! He is house trained but he does have an occasional accident if left for too long between bathroom breaks. He is up to date on all vaccinations and had been on Simparica TRIO. He has not been neutered or microchipped yet, he is cryptorchid on one side so his neuter will be a little more indepth procedure than a typical neuter. He prefers to sleep in bed under the covers with his people. He lives with a cat full time and sometimes stays in a household with a German Shephard who he gets along with very well. Our life has recently changed with a newborn grandchild and a family member with many new health issues. Due to this we are just not home enough to have a dog right now, Leroy is left in his crate for extended periods of time often recently which has not been fair to him. We want Leroy to have the love and attention he deserves!

Daisy Mae is an almost 10 month old miniature pinscher mix, who was pulled from a high kill rural shelter in Arkansas.  She is going great in her foster home.  She's a great size with beautiful markings! She is a very happy puppy who seems to smile all the time and wag her tail. She is smart, trainable, and doing well both on the leash and with house training. She will need an adopter who an continue her training.  She loves kids and people and would do well with another dog and also as an only dog with plenty of toys!
