Located in Donora, PA Name- Rex Birthday- October 28, 2020 Gender- Neutered male Housebroken- yes Leash trained- yes he loves to go on walks with harness or collar but he does pull a bit so should always use a harness Up-to-date on shots- no Personality- a major cuddle bug once he knows you. Not a fan of strangers and can be harder to win over. He’s not very hyper and would be happier to just cuddle Good with kids- yes once he warms up but he needs plenty of time or he may lash out. Good with dogs- not a huge fan of other dogs but would manage with a nice lazy older dog that wouldn’t be all over him constantly. Good with cats- yes but he will chase them. Not with aggression. Crate trained- yes Rex is currently living with Ramos, but we will consider adopting seperately as they can be a bit toy/food aggressive with each other..

Story

Buddy is a 3/4 year old neutered male, approximately 15 pounds and slightly overweight. He is up to date on vaccinations, leash trained, crate trained, and generally housebroken. Buddy does well with most other dogs and cats and enjoys attention, though he can become jealous. He can be feisty and nervous and thrives in a calm, structured home with time, patience, and affection. For safety and transparency, Buddy has shown fear-based reactions toward guests and has snapped at strangers, though he has never shown aggression toward members of our household. When new guests are present, we crate him to prevent snapping but he has also bitten friends/ repeat guests that he previously had cuddled with. Our priority is finding Buddy a calm, experienced, adult-only home where he can thrive without the stressors he is currently experiencing. Will use puppy pads if you leave them down instead of using floors. Leash trained- yes he loves to go on walks with harness or collar Up-to-date on shots- yes but will be due for his yearlys Personality- a major cuddle bug once he knows you. Not a fan of strangers but if you give him snacks you’ll win him over almost immediately. Very hyper and playful. Good with kids- yes but the stranger danger rule still applies and he needs time to warm up Good with dogs- yes but if the dog does not respect space when he’s ready to settle down he will get a bit nippy so would likely be better in a home with a dog who isn’t very hyper. He will play untill he’s no longer wanting to play. Good with cats- yes he absolutely wants to be best friends with the cats Crate trained- too an extent but will have accidents if left to long Ramos is currently living with Rex, but we will consider adopting seperately as they can be a bit food/toy aggressive with each other.

After his owner became ill, Rocky came into rescue when his diabetes became too difficult to manage — but he’s now stable and thriving with proper medication and care. He will need a committed adopter to continue managing his diabetes and insulin routine. Thanks to foster care, Rocky is rediscovering joy — he loves toys, treats, car rides, and snuggling under the blankets at bedtime. He’s playful, smart, and deeply bonded to his people. meet cricket. She is approx one year old and 17 lbs. She is so stinking cute and has the sweetest, most gentle soul. This little girl absolutely lives for snuggles—her favorite place is curled up in a cozy ball right next to her person. She prefers to nap with company and will happily spend hours lounging, soaking up the sun, or quietly keeping you company. With her calm, well-mannered nature and low energy level, she’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back cuddle buddy.She’s not much of a toy player (she’s still figuring those out!), but she does enjoy the occasional little zoom around. On walks, she’s more interested in affection than adventure—she’ll often flop onto her back and wait patiently for belly rubs instead of pulling or jumping. She’s quiet overall and only barks occasionally at unfamiliar noises or when someone comes to the door.She gets along well with other dogs and has previously lived with many, but she also seems perfectly content soaking up all the love as a solo pup. While her experience with cats is unknown, she hasn’t shown any concerning behaviors. She has met visitors and warms up quickly, greeting them with her signature “roll over for pets” move. Her gentle demeanor suggests she could do well with respectful, calm children.House training is still a work in progress. She’s not a fan of wet grass and is still learning that outside is the place to go, though she’s making progress. She tends to use the same spot indoors (never carpet), so a routine and possibly puppy pads will help her succeed. She may also do a little “happy tinkle” when greeting you—just part of her sensitive, affectionate personality.She does great when left alone—no destruction, no mischief—just finds a comfy spot and naps until you return. She can be crated but also settles nicely outside of it. While she can be a bit startled by loud or unexpected noises, she recovers quickly and generally warms up easily to new people.This sweet girl is truly a little stuffed animal come to life—gentle, loving, and devoted.
