Story
Topper was rescued from a South Atlanta animal shelter.  She was quite shy the first few days, so we gave her some space and she began to seek us out after about 4 days.  After a few weeks, she follows us and seeks affection.  She is very sweet and silly.  Topper is 6 yrs old weighs 16 lbs. and looks like a mini German Shepherd.  She will come inside when called for her food and bed time, but she really enjoys playing in the yard with her canine friends.  She loves her dry kibble and is not a picky eater.  She needs to learn to take treats gently though, watch those fingers!  When her foster mom is loving on other dogs, she'll yip and tug your pants leg!  She wants ALL your love, and we are working to correct that behavior.  We only crate Topper when she's eating.  However, we do baby gate her when nobody is home. When you pick her up, she'll lay her head on your shoulder and melt your heart instantly. Alcovy dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines, up to date on heart-worm preventative and flea preventative and micro-chipped. If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on Alcovy Pet Rescue's website at www.alcovypet.com. You must have a vet reference to adopt. We verify the care of past/current pets. Applications without a vet reference will not be approved for adoption. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs and cats and therefore we reserve the right to approve or deny an application based on what we determine is in the pet's best interest. If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on Alcovy Pet Rescue's website at www.alcovypet.com.  You must have a vet reference to adopt.  We verify the care of past/current pets.  Applications without a vet reference will not be approved for adoption. Story
My mom and dad adopted Bella as a puppy but was never trained or socialized with other dogs. My dad passed away 5 years ago and now my mom has Alzheimers. She's unable to keep Bella. Bella is very anxious/scared at new noises and places. She barks at people walking by outside. She was just never trained but after warming up to you is a very sweet dog.

Story
Bennett is a fun loving bundle of joy who is roughly 10/11 years old. He has a great temperament and loves walks and cuddles. He doesn't bark often and he is well behaved. He would be best places with someone who has time to cater to him, give him love and attention and make him the main focus. He would make a great companion for a family without young children. He's a great little dog! He is calm, is okay with being left alone but will definitely be engaged when you're ready.

Story
Please read! Local adoption only! MPMR requires all applicants to have their dogs current on vaccines, spayed or neutered, and on heartworm prevention unless there is verifiable medical reason why this cannot be done. If interested in adopting this dog, please complete our adoption application by pasting the following web address into your browser. http://tinyurl.com/mpmrapp Chiquita 4.5 year old chocolate Min Pin (DOB 9/30/2020) 11 lbs. Fully vetted -- Mmust be willing to repeatedly come to her foster home to meet her. -- Woman only home. -- Secure fenced yard required without exception. -- Low traffic environment is best where she doesn't have to meet strangers often or travel. -- Does well with small dogs her size, but other pup friends should match her playful energy level. -- Crate trained but would gladly sleep with her person -- House trained on a schedule -- No children. -- No cats. -- No large dogs. -- No men. They terrify her. -- No apartments or condos. -- Don't expect her to be okay with leash walks or dog parks because she is too nervous. -- Has severe motion sickness even with short rides. Can last a few days. Once Chiquita is comfortable with someone, her personality shines. She acts like any other dog, but it takes time and patience to get her to that point. She is very energetic and would love another playful friend. A confident dog would most likely help her adjust faster as well. We do not want her bounced around because someone is unfamiliar with fearful dog behavior so are trying to be as transparent as possible. She would love more than anything for her new person to be a homebody, though if travel or an emergency does come up, she's more than welcome to stay with her foster even after the adoption is finalized.

Story
MPMR requires all dogs in the home to be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and on heartworm prevention unless your veterinarian has a verifiable reason as to why this cannot be done Ari 10-12 year old female Min Pin 16 lbs. fully vetted If dogs could talk, I am sure this girl would have a story to tell. Ari came to us horribly neglected and nearly starved to death. Her teeth are not much more than nubs, though that doesn't stop her from eating anything. To top it all, she had a gigantic lipoma that had to be removed as it was causing balance and walking difficulties. Her health is now clear, and Ari is ready to find her forever home where she can be spoiled. Feisty, sassy and independent describe this girl. It took her a bit of time to figure out where the door outside was here due to limited vision, but now that she's learned, she has house training down. Someone just needs to give her time and patience of repeated attempts at showing her the way for a few weeks. She loves adults but isn't too keen on fast movements of children. Cats do not seem to bother her, and while she tolerates other calm dogs, she would do just as well as an only dog as she has no interest in playing with them. She would rather spend her time with people whether that's sitting on the couch, going for rides, relaxing in a fenced yard, or walking on leash. If you are willing to give Ari a home for her golden years, please complete an adoption application at the following web address: http://tinyurl.com/mpmrapp Contact mpmrgeorgia@gmail.com with any additional questions.
