Story
Hi! My name is Calisto. Since I have that name, you should know I think I am a pirate. Aye, aye matey. I have the handsome dark looks, swashbuckling style, and alway look like I am winking. I just have to talk my Frommy into getting me the outfit.     Until I get the outfit, you can call me Cal. I am a 3 year old miniature pinscher mix. I am tall and trim with well defined muscles(14 pounds). I have a handsome black and tan coat. I only have one eye from an accident a long time ago, but I don't talk about it as It is not an issue for me.  I am doing super in my foster home and get along well with the 3 other dogs here. I love the humans best. I love for them to hold me and give me lots of pets. If they are doing something with their hands, I just get the pets from their feet. By the way, I do prefer ladies, but I should be fine with a patient man. I am also quiet in my crate at night and when Frommy goes out.     You should know that I absolutely Love to eat. I have nosed out all the food locations in the house, but they keep it all where I can't help myself. I like going outside and being on furniture and even a soft dog bed. I am just a very agreeable guy.   Before I got here, someone didn't give me heart worm preventatives,  so I had the worms. Fortunately, I have finished my treatment and I am ready to find my new family asap!   I would love to be the new pirate in your home! Can't wait to meet you!   Calisto       An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms    Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. Story
MPMR requires all adopters to have their pets up-to-date on vaccinations, to be spayed or neutered, and on heartworm prevention. Maci 5-year-old Min Pin female, DOB 3/192018 13 lbs. Fully vetted Maci is quite the character. She is an independent little girl who is reminiscent of a cat. She loves spending time outdoors to the point we require her to have a home with a secure fenced yard since she can escape some fencing by way of digging. Privacy fencing is preferred. However, if you have chain link with the bottom dog-proofed, we could consider that as well. She will also be a great walking or hiking buddy if desired as she does not easily tire. She does better in low traffic environments as lots of noise makes her uneasy. A confident dog friend will help her learn the ropes faster and adjust more quickly. She makes friends with anyone who has treats and will do fine in a home with children who understand how to interact with dogs. Maci is house trained in her foster home, though as with any dog, we expect a few accidents as she adjusts to a new environment. Thankfully, she has good house manners. She has only two faults, and one of those won't be an issue for many. Maci is not at all a fan of car rides, so she should be adopted within an hour or so of her foster home. She is not suitable for someone who travels often. The other is that she is a door darter and bolter. She will need to be held, put behind a baby gate, or crated (temporarily since she isn't a fan of the crate) if people are coming and going because she is not an easy dog to catch. She also moves faster than someone can blink, so don't think she isn't paying attention to your every move even if she appears to be sleeping. Of note medically speaking is that Maci has been diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease. She is currently on 0.5 MG of Budesonide a day. It costs around $30 a month from a compounding pharmacy. Without medication, Maci has shown she would not eat much unless food was of a mashed potato consistency and would often vomit undigested food 30 minutes to 10 hours after eating. Her diet is limited to grain-free raw food and a few select treats to keep flares from occurring. Weaning off meds was attempted but did not go well. The vet finds it highly unlikely that she will ever come off the steroid. Since starting the medication, she has blossomed into a normal dog. she dances, bounces, wiggles, and whines for food and her meds which are hidden in a bit of cheese. She is also starting to play with the other dogs more and is slowly becoming more willing to snuggle near someone. Her personality absolutely shines now that her GI system feels better. If you have any questions, please email them to mpmrgeorgia@gmail.com. If interested in adopting sweet Maci, complete an adoption application at http://tinyurl.com/mpmrapp

Story
Evie 8 years old (DOB 5/11/2015); 11 lbs. Spayed, UTD on vaccines, HW negative and on prevention Meet miss Evie. This girl came to us after spending two months in animal control. She was not doing well in the kennel environment in the least, but she is now thriving in a foster home. She adores women and takes a while to warm up to men. She is learning about toys now that her teeth have been cleaned and loves playing with other energetic dogs. Evie will gladly do anything for snacks. She is quite friendly and eager to snuggle with someone on top of or under blankets. However, she also has energy for days and will make a good walking buddy, though she does need some work on leash training as she pulls like a train. In her foster home, Evie quickly learned where the door was that leads outside, and she has done extremely well letting us know when she needs to go out to do her business. At some point in her past, she had a home as she knows a few commands including "sit," "get down," and "dance." We are still working on "come." She has done well with the other dogs, all of whom are females. Evie is a door darter so will need to be confined if people are coming in and out of the home. As she is quite a barker and will bark at bugs flying by windows, no apartments or condos. No children for this girl. Evie does not like to be picked up or approached quickly. She has not bitten, but she will snap. We are hoping that with time and patience, she will realize being picked up is not going to cause her any harm. Nothing physically is wrong with her that we have found with x-ray. She is just very scared of this for some reason. Story
MPMR requires that all dogs in the home are up-to-date on vaccines unless there are medical reasons, on heartworm prevention, and spayed or neutered. Fostered in Dacula, GA Hawk: 3 yr. old stag red neutered male Min Pin and Terrier mix, 15 lbs. Fully vetted Hawk is a bouncy pogo stick of a pup! He loves to jump repeatedly. As he can clear 3-4 feet, a fence will need to be a bit taller to contain him as a safety precaution unless you leash walk him everywhere. He is a very loving boy who adores attention and meets no strangers. He gets along with other dogs and ignores cats. Hawk wants nothing more than to be with his person. If you sit down, he will be on your lap. Leash training is progressing, and given how much Hawk loves people, he is more than eager to follow someone on leash. However, he loves just as much to play with other gentle dogs in a fenced area too. Hawk needs to wear a belly band initially due to marking, and he will need a consistent schedule to get house training. Children, if present, should be over the age of 7 as Hawk is quite the jumper and could easily knock a small child down on accident when playing. If interested in adopting Hawk, please complete our application at http://tinyurl.com/mpmrapp
