Bettie and her sibling were abandoned outside a fast-food restaurant, left to fend for themselves in a world they didn’t understand. They were terrified and in danger, weaving around cars just trying to stay alive. It’s hard to imagine anyone looking at this innocent little face and walking away. Thankfully, someone stopped. Someone cared. And Bettie was given the chance to discover that life could be so much more than fear and survival. And oh, what a little lovebug she has become! Bettie is sweet, cuddly, affectionate, and absolutely loves being loved. She wants to be near her people and is happiest when she can snuggle up and feel safe. She’s also very smart and already catching on to her training — this little girl is eager to learn and wants so badly to please. She is good with dogs, cats & kids Bettie has already had a rough beginning, but she doesn't seem to hold it against the world. She still believes people are good. She still wants to love. She still gets excited about the simple things puppies should get to enjoy — toys, cuddles, playtime, and having someone to call her own. 🥰 Now we need to find the person who will show her that being abandoned was not the end of her story. • Rescue Story: Meet Leeju👋 She was found on the street in South Korea at just 2 months old and sent to a high-risk city shelter along with her four siblings. Luckily, she was rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team and sent to her foster home 2 months later. Her foster family has been taking good care of her since, and she’s been living peacefully with the resident dog. LeeJu is now more than ready for a furever home! • Personality: Friendly, Curious, Cautious LeeJu is such a friendly and lovable pup with a curious and cautious personality. Her energy level is mid-low as she mostly chills in a kennel at home and prefers to have light walkies mainly for the bathroom. • Affinity with - Dogs: Super friendly with other dogs as long as they are not too large or aggressive. She doesn’t respond to barking dogs as well. She currently lives with a resident dog in her foster home, so she will be a good fit for a family with other furry companions. - Cats: Good with cats. - Adults/Kids: Good with both adults & kids. She is calm even when kids pet her. • Walking Manners: Well-mannered! • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, mainly using the bathroom outdoors but sometimes indoors when she can’t go outside. • Bathing/Brushing: Very good. • Car Rides: Not anymore. She got better at car rides. 💕 MEET ELEANOR — “ELLIE” 💕 🐶 Female🎂 Age: 13+ weeks at transport⚖️ Weight: Currently 14 lbs.🐾 Breed: Listed as German Shepherd Mix; possibly German Pinscher or Min Pin Mix Ellie's story is a little different from most puppies—and she's going to need a very special person who understands that earning her trust will take time. ❤️ Ellie was found at just 13 weeks old living alone in a culvert. Based on how frightened she was of people when rescued, it's possible she was born to a street dog and had very little human contact during those critical first weeks of her life. For the past several weeks, her foster has been patiently showing Ellie that people can be safe, kind and loving. And this little girl has already come so incredibly far. 🥹 But we want to be completely transparent about what Ellie needs. Ellie is not going to arrive in her new home as an instantly cuddly, warm-and-fuzzy puppy. She still doesn't like being picked up. Sudden movements can frighten her, she can panic if she feels cornered, and she does not like being crated. Her instinct when she's scared is to RUN, so her adopter will need to be extremely careful about doors, gates and other opportunities for escape. Her new family will need to let Ellie set the pace. But here's the beautiful part… ❤️ She now sleeps curled up next to her foster.🧠 She is incredibly smart—she learned “sit” in what seemed like five seconds!🐾 She's working on “leave it,” “down” and “paw.”🦴 Her motto is definitely WILL WORK FOR FOOD. 😂🎾 She's treat AND toy motivated.🥰 She thrives on praise.🎾 She LOVES playing fetch.💦 Chasing the stream of water from the hose is apparently great entertainment.🌳 She loves playing outside.🐕 She enjoys the company of other dogs, although she's still learning her puppy manners and can sometimes be a little nippy during play.🏡 She's essentially potty trained and will use a pad by the back door on the rare occasion her foster misses her cue. Ellie's progress has taken patience, consistency and trust. Her adopter needs to understand that moving into a new home may initially be scary for her, and she'll need time to feel safe all over again. This isn't the puppy for someone looking for instant gratification. Ellie is the puppy for someone who finds joy in earning every little victory. ❤️
