Story
Zippy is a new arrival to the adoption floor! She was an owner surrender with her sister Penny, when her owner could no longer care for them, and they are ready to find a forever home! Zippy is more animated than her sister, and she definitely lives up to her name! This spunky girl has the jumps and will hop up to say 'hello'. Due to this, she may not do well in a home with young children who are unsure of very energetic dogs. Penny and Zippy used to being together and they like to share their food, bed, and toys with each other. We are unsure how either pup of this duo would do sharing with unfamiliar dogs, and should be introduced slowly into the home. Zippy is a little shy at first, but loves affection and loves to play with stuffy toys. She loves to hop up on you to show you her excitement and she is very treat motivated. She is attention seeking, and she loves to be in your lap as you give her lots of pets and back and belly scratches! Zippy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped. Stop in to meet this sweet girl today!

Story
Little Axel is a new arrival to the adoption floor! He was brought into the shelter when the child in the home developed allergies. This spunky pup is friendly, likes children, likes dogs, and likes cats! He is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly. New people need to move slow with him so that he doesn't get nervous. He is very treat motivated and very playful! Axel knows sit, stay, and paw, and he enjoys going for walks. He is a high jumper, so he will need supervision when he is outside, even in a fenced in yard or area. This happy pup is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is currently 22.2 lbs. Stop in to meet this handsome boy today!

Story
Meet the loveable Lucy! This perfect girl came from NC and is estimated to be 4-5 years old, and weighs under 40 pounds. Lucy knows some basic commands and knows how to "sit pretty". Lucy has been getting lots of love in her foster home, but she is ready for a forever home of her own! Lucy's ideal family would be one where she can have a couch and maybe a few laps to cuddle on. She loves to explore and go for daily walks, so a family that is able to provide her mental and physical exercise is required. Lucy also loves to play fetch with balls and other toys - she is hoping her new home will provide her with these toys she loves! Lucy is currently in a foster home, living with another dog and a cat. She would be fine living with other animals in her new home, but she would also be content with being your one and only. Lucy loves everyone she meets including kids, she has been attending some fundraising events and loves to get pets from everyone that comes up to her. Lucy is scheduled to be spayed in May. If you would like to get loved by Lucy, please complete an application on our website: www.crcpa.org/adopt

Story
Ms. Minnie Penny is a sweet, but shy, black and tan, female Miniature Pinscher. Her date of birth is 8/21/19. She LOVES squeaky toys and allows NO vermin in her yard. Over this past summer she killed 4 snakes that dared to come into her back yard. She takes her job of vermin exterminator very seriously. She walks well on a leash and gets along well with other dogs. She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm negative and is being kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain her good health. Ms. Minnie Penny will need a fenced yard as she is an active girl. She is located in Arkansas. The adoption donation for Ms. Minnie Penny is $565 which includes the $165 transport fee. If you are interested in adopting Ms Minnie Penny, please complete the first step in the adoption process by filling out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
