Story
Cute little Ace is one of the many dogs that lost their home when "we just don't have the time" He is neutered, UTD on shots and testing, HW neg, and has good house manners. He loves older kids and dogs at daycare. He is a little possessive at home with other dogs unless the other dogs stand their ground. He wants ALL the attention so a home as an only dog but friends to visit would be great. Ace rides well in the car and sits for treats and leash and walks well with just a little pulling. He told me to mention that he LOVES belly rubs! If you would like to add this cutie to your forever family, please email dogs4mylife@gmail.com and we will send our info and application.

Story
Baby is a precious little girl that is 2 years old and a special needs dog that is 20 pounds.  She was born with what is the equivalent to a hydrocephalus child that cannot control some of her movement functions and needs assistance moving around.  This girl is also 90% blind and has to be helped to get outside and go for a potty break.  We are working on a wheelchair right now and it will give her some freedom and joy to sit upright and perhaps learn how to move her legs to navigate around the backyard.  This girl is very independent but yet being picked up does put her in a fear mode until she knows to trust you and knows you mean her no harm.  She is about 90% blind and challenged with her walking skills and we think a wheelchair could give her some wonderful mobility or steadiness on her feet.  She is a sweet girl that will play with other dogs and is fine around cats as well.  If you have ever wanted to help a handicapped dog then Baby is the one to consider.  We think she is Min Pin mix and was brought to a shelter with her sister at the age of 10 weeks in December of 2021.  This little girl is going on 2 years old now and the original foster mom is keeping the other sister who is impaired with her walking only.  We are seeking a person and family with a depth to handle the blindness and the need to carry her outside right now to go potty.  She loves the company of other dogs and she is much improved when around them.  She does also love to sleep and stay near her work-from-home foster mom. Her mind is sharp but again fearful of those unseen and unknown elements that she might experience.  But in the end Baby will conquer her fears and she will be fine!  If you would like to know more, please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 30, 2023, 4:11 pm

Story
Meet the loveable Lucy! This perfect girl came from NC and is estimated to be 4-5 years old, and weighs under 40 pounds. Lucy knows some basic commands and knows how to "sit pretty". Lucy has been getting lots of love in her foster home, but she is ready for a forever home of her own! Lucy's ideal family would be one where she can have a couch and maybe a few laps to cuddle on. She loves to explore and go for daily walks, so a family that is able to provide her mental and physical exercise is required. Lucy also loves to play fetch with balls and other toys - she is hoping her new home will provide her with these toys she loves! Lucy is currently in a foster home, living with another dog and a cat. She would be fine living with other animals in her new home, but she would also be content with being your one and only. Lucy loves everyone she meets including kids, she has been attending some fundraising events and loves to get pets from everyone that comes up to her. Lucy is scheduled to be spayed in May. If you would like to get loved by Lucy, please complete an application on our website: www.crcpa.org/adopt

Male, 10 yrs 7 mos

Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less

Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
We rescued Job in about 6-7 years ago and had many great years with him. He loves one on one attention, and loves to curl up in someone's lap or the couch. He is a companion dog and will attach himself to someone quickly (usually female). He is an alpha male so he is good in a pack of dogs (boarding/daycare), but can be territorial. He usually leads the pack. At home, he mostly sleeps, plays, loves to eat, and just wants to be loved. He prefers a quiet environment, kid free, pet free if possible. He does not like to be left alone, and will howl for a bit if you leave the house. He does fine though being left at home for a few hours at a time. He does not drool or chew, and doesn't shed much at all. He is house trained. He's very sweet!

Story
Ms. Minnie Penny is a sweet, but shy, black and tan, female Miniature Pinscher. Her date of birth is 8/21/19. She LOVES squeaky toys and allows NO vermin in her yard. Over this past summer she killed 4 snakes that dared to come into her back yard. She takes her job of vermin exterminator very seriously. She walks well on a leash and gets along well with other dogs. She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm negative and is being kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain her good health. Ms. Minnie Penny will need a fenced yard as she is an active girl. She is located in Arkansas. The adoption donation for Ms. Minnie Penny is $565 which includes the $165 transport fee. If you are interested in adopting Ms Minnie Penny, please complete the first step in the adoption process by filling out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
