Looking for some serious senior spunk?? Meet Sweet Bella! Or, Elf on a Shelf! Look at those stunningly adorable ears. All she wants for Christmas is a forever home! She's people and dog friendly, and ready to be your forever friend! Though she's a senior, she has moxie and joie de vivre! Bella's foster says she LOVES her crate and to snuggle up in her blanket at night (see video). She also seems to know her name and to go outside to potty. While she's a darling gal, she still is a bit timid and will take time to warm up to new people. Eventually, she may become your best lap buddy, but it will take some time to get comfortable with you. Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee covers; please consider making a tax-deductible donation by visiting us at https://www.hattonanimalrescue.org/sponsor. Donations help us offset vetting, boarding costs, and additional medical treatments for dogs who need it. For more information on Hatton Animal Rescue, visit our website at: hattonanimalrescue.org.

Story
Meet Pee Wee! This sweet, gentle girl is as chill and easygoing as they get. Pee Wee came to us carrying some serious extra weight, so if you're looking for a diet and exercise buddy, Pee Wee is your girl. She is already hard at work at getting slimming down and has made great progress. She's just a few pounds from a perfect swimsuit bod! You can help her get there. On the exercise front, Pee Wee enjoys going for several relatively short walks each day. She can do a few stairs but would need some help with a whole staircase (a great way to get your arm exercises in). She also enjoys hopping from bed to bed, looking for the perfect place to snooze at different times of day. She enjoys sleeping in and having a leisurely breakfast to get her day started. Pee Wee is basically housebroken, but it wouldn't hurt to have some pee pads out initially, just to be safe. She sleeps well through the night, enjoys a good car ride, and is trustworthy when left home alone. She is looking for a fairly calm, quiet home that provides structure and consistency. She is happy to have canine or feline companions and loves to hang with her humans. Pee Wee may be small, but her heart is mighty and she is ready to show the world that every senior dog deserves a second chance at life. Could you be the one to give it to her? Pee Wee is approximately 10 years old and 20 lbs. Fostered in Severn, MD Please apply at MirisHaven.org

Story
Hi Pepper here, let me tell you a little about myself. I am a 5 yr old min pin mix weighing 15lbs. I was surrendered when my elderly mama could no longer take care of me. I was then adopted but living with 3 chihuahuas was just not a good fit for me. I am being fostered with 2 dogs about my size and I get along great with them. I am house trained and crate trained but I have IVDD so I dribble a little but that is easily corrected with a belly band. I take 3 different pills and I can run and play just like any other dog, I just shouldn’t go steps. My pills cost about $33 a month. I LOVE walks, I am good in the car and will cuddle beside you on the sofa. My foster mama says I’m a good boy so I don’t know why I haven’t had any meet and greets. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, heart worm negative and microchipped. Kids visit at the house, ages 1 to 16, and when I hear them coming in I go crazy because I like them so much! If you think I might be a good fit for you, please apply today at  https://www.pack9rescue.org/applications . I’ll be waiting for you in New Holland PA. New Oxford PA 17350; LIC #9736&#226&#128&#139 We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. Story
Please contact Mamie Hall (mamie.hall@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet. She's the cherry on top! CHERRY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Cherry and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (10/19) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church, VA (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!     Name: Cherry         Best Guess for Breed:  Min pin mix  Best Guess for Age: 6 years as of October 2024       SEX: Female   Approximate Weight: 12 lbs   Gets Along With:   Large dogs! She hasn't lived with cats that we know of, but she has tried to chase outdoor cats. She hasn't lived with kids as far as we are aware. We are happy to discuss integration techniques with potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   DC foster home   About Cherry: This sweetie with the incredible ears was abandoned and ended up in a shelter in Texas. She immediately closed that chapter with a bang and eagerly jumped into her next one - a shelter foster home in Texas. Her Texas foster described her as energetic, always liking to move around -  hey she may be 6 or so but small dogs' batteries last a LONG time and she's ready to go! She loves walks, loves car rides. She lived with a 80-pound poodle in that foster home and did well with him. She knows the command 'come' and when called, will come right away.   And she was just so loving, so happy to be with her Texas foster. Her foster said she's the type who does well with a lot of attention, a lot of time with her humans.  What she wants most of all is to be safe and loved for all her days. In exchange, you get a happy, loving, active little girl eager to trot by your side and then curl up against your lap. What do you say? Is Cherry the one for your home and your heart? What My DC Area Foster Says About Me:  Cherry loves walks - really LOVES walks and sniffing. But she can chill too - she's curled up on a dog bed at my feet as I type this. She's confident in the home - she walked in like she'd been here all her life. And she utterly loves being next to me, getting pets.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at   bit.ly/adoptaluckydog  .   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament. Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life!  Please visit us online at      www.luckydoganimalrescue.org   .    BE A FOSTER!!!     Fosters make it possible for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to save and care for homeless and abandoned dogs! To learn about fostering, please contact fostering@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
