Sweet Pete—lovingly called Sweets—will be 3 years old in March, and he’s quietly hoping his next home will be the one where he finally feels safe enough to exhale. This 12-pound, neutered, crate-trained little guy came to CCR not because he isn’t loved, but because he needs more security, consistency, and reassurance than he’s had before. What he wants most is a calm, stable home and a person who will be his. Once Sweet Pete trusts you, he gives his whole heart. He lives for cuddles, snuggling close, and simply being near his person after a good round of outdoor play. He enjoys exercise and then happily settles in, content just to hang out and be loved. He’s also a wonderful travel companion—great on short trips and long rides alike—and never turns down a pup cup along the way. Sweet Pete will alert bark at unfamiliar noises or strangers, but he isn’t a constant yapper. He walks nicely on a leash and would benefit from continued work on recall. He’s spent lots of time at doggy daycare and enjoys playful interactions with dogs his own size. He hasn’t been around cats yet, so a cat-free home or careful introductions would be best. Because of his past, Sweet Pete can be anxious around men and small children, and those situations can feel overwhelming for him. He would truly thrive in a quieter, adult-only home—ideally with someone who is home often—where patience, routine, and kindness help him continue to build confidence. When he feels safe and happy, his joy bursts out in the form of full-speed zoomies and impressive jumps that show off his athletic little body and happy heart. Sweet Pete is up to date on vaccinations and ready for a fresh start. He’s not asking for much—just a gentle, understanding home where love is steady and trust can grow. Hi Pepper here, let me tell you a little about myself. I am a 5 yr old min pin mix weighing 15lbs. I was surrendered when my elderly mama could no longer take care of me. I was then adopted but living with 3 chihuahuas was just not a good fit for me. I am being fostered with 2 dogs about my size and I get along great with them. I am house trained and crate trained but I have IVDD so I dribble a little but that is easily corrected with a belly band. I take 3 different pills and I can run and play just like any other dog, I just shouldn’t do steps. My pills cost about $33 a month. I LOVE walks, I am good in the car and will cuddle beside you on the sofa. My foster mama says I’m a good boy so I don’t know why I haven’t had any meet and greets. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, heart worm negative and microchipped. Kids visit at the house, ages 1 to 16, and when I hear them coming in I go crazy because I like them so much! Meet Zipper! This distinguished gentleman and professional blanket connoisseur is all about love, naps, and excellent vibes. Zipper is the epitome of calm and relaxed. He lovings being as close to his humans as possible and adores being held. When arms and laps aren't available he'll happily burrow into a blanket and snooze until it's time for his next meal. Next to his humans, blankets are his absolute favorite. Zipper's idea of heaven is being held by his human while also wrapped in a blanket...pure bliss. He also loves kisses and is happy to give them right back! Zipper loves food and treats, and has impeccable manners. Fully house-trained, he's happy to use pee pads and will also let you know when he needs to go out. He's great in the car, sleeps through the night, and is happy to stay home alone when his people are out. He gets along with everyone - men, women, dogs, cats, kids. He has dry eyes and needs eyedrops twice a day, but he takes them without a fuss like the gentleman he is. He needs a lift going up and down stairs, but as far as he's concerned that just means more opportunities to be held. Zipper is so maintenance - all he asks for is love, affection, and a few treats. My name is Sparky. Very much like a spark, I am a 7-year-old 30-pound compact firecracker, a ball of energy, the light we all need more of in our lives, direct and to the point, enthusiastic, well rounded, happy, and when I crash, I crash until I am reignited. Just call me 'Sparkalicious!'I found myself at this fabulous rescue when my family moved, and they weren't able to take me. Instead of feeling sad for me or upset with them, I experienced love being part of their family and I am ready to pay that forward to my FURever family.I am very smart, and I crave training and routine (if I was a little younger, I would sign up to serve in the military or even enroll at the local community college). We all feel more confident when we are on a routine and know what to expect. I am no different than you or any other K9. Because I have been shuffled around a bit in my 6 years of life, a home with no children would be best because they make quick movements that sometimes scare me.SIT DOWN FOR THIS, no pun intended: I am HOUSE TRAINED, know all the basic manners, love food (Captain Obvious), and am dog friendly. I mean if there was ever a FACE for 'WHOLE PACKAGE' it would be my gorgeous miniature rottie face. Ok, I know I sound egotistical, but I am really motivated to learn. While I can appreciate cats, they aren't a creature I am interested in living with. That is no offense to cats as they are my cousins, but they are small & slick and also make quick manipulative moves that sometimes scare me. I love cuddling on the couch, whether it is a movie or animal planet - as long as we are together, I will be happy. I am active and LOVE walking. After all, movement is medicine.Luckily for me, I am in a foster home and my foster family is teaching me to work through my separation anxiety because after all, we are all a 'work in progress.' I crave a family that is home a lot and rarely would leave me, and would need to be with a family in a house - not an apartment or townhome. I would prefer to have my own fenced in yard too if that's not too much to ask!
