Meet Chico!Chico is a one year-old male Miniature Pinscher mix, who was part of a large owner surrender. All the dogs surrendered were supposed to be Miniature Pinscher Chihuahua mixes, but Chico looks to include some Basenji mix, his curly Q tail is the best! Chico is a very friendly guy. He is a tad shy, but super sweet and loves attention. He gets along with other dogs, although we are unsure about cats. He loves children. Chico has been neutered and is current with all his vaccines. He’s fully house and crate-trained, and he’s been working hard on his basic manners—he already knows “sit,” “down,” and “paw.” This little guy thrives with a patient person who can give him some time to decompress and build trust. Slow introductions to new people are a must, but once you’re “his person,” he’ll be your constant shadow—and might even share his prized toys with you. Auggie has plenty of energy and loves outdoor play, especially chasing his oversized tennis ball or engaging in a good game of tug-of-war. Because of his high energy level, he’s not a great fit for apartment living. He can also be a bit particular about his belongings, so we recommend a home with no children. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will reward your patience with endless love, laughter, and fetch sessions, Auggie just might be your perfect match!
