Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 month.

Kola is about 10 years old. I adopted him 6 years ago. He can be a grumpy old dog but also sweet. He got along great with my cat that recently passed away. When Kola feels threatened he will bite. I don't recommend to have children around him. He doesn't like anyone close to his face. However, he is a great cuddle buddy. He loves going under blankets and enjoys car rides. He used to be potty trained but due to me not taking him out like I used to he uses a peewee pad. I believe he has arthritis in his hind legs and he sometimes whimpers or cries out. I manage it with over the counter pain pills. He doesn't like being left alone. I usually put doggy tv for him when I leave and offer him calming pills. Loud thunder scares him but he likes fireworks. Overall he's a good dog. I just hope a good, patient, and loveable person or older couple can take him in.

Izzy is five months old and weighs about 20 lbs. We have tried to determine what her breed mix is, and these are a few guesses. She could be a Doberman Pinscher/Beagle mix, or a Miniature Pinscher/Beagle mix, or a Manchester Terrier mix, or none of the above! Izzy and her sister were dumped outside the Sheriff's office, and then made their way to Humane Tomorrow, so we just aren't sure about her breed mix. We are guessing she may not weigh more than 40 lbs when full grown. We may not know her breed mix, but we do know that Izzy is a fun, energetic, affectionate puppy. She has excellent athletic skills, and would probably excel at agility training, fly ball, frisbee catching, or all of the above! Izzy would also be very happy just running zoomies in the backyard, or going for a walk, or playing with her toys. She can entertain herself by tossing a ball in the air, then running to retrieve it. She gets along and plays with the other dogs in her foster home, but she would be fine as an only dog, as long as she gets enough exercise and play time.. Izzy is also happy and content to hang out with her family. She loves people and cuddling in their lap or curled up beside them.
