Despite a complex surgery, an infection meant his leg had to be removed—but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. He’s incredibly well-rounded and adores humans of all ages—he recently lit up with joy when two small children helped at his photo shoot. Bentley is crate trained (though he prefers using it as a cozy retreat with the door open) and does well with his potty habits when taken outside regularly.In his foster home, Bentley lives peacefully with multiple dogs and happily does his own thing when he needs quiet time. Junior joined the rescue at the end of August and after completing heartworm treatment, getting neutered and having a much needed dental this guy is now ready for adoption! This is what his foster mom has to say about him! “Junior has the funniest little personality. He’s very laid back, but he’s recently started doing zoomies around the yard, which has been so fun to watch. He’s fairly independent, though he’s begun snuggling with us more and more. He loves food and is extremely treat-motivated! Junior does great with other dogs, but he’s still learning how to play. After spending six years just trying to survive on the streets, “playing” is a brand-new experience for him, so he can be a little awkward. He’s potty trained, non-destructive, and does well without being kenneled.” Junior is a 6 year old, 16.6 lb Chihuahua/Min Pin mix (our best guess!). Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority.
