Story
Meet Ddobok💜 He became frightened one day during a thunderstorm and fled his home. Regretfully, Ddobok was involved with a traffic accident and had to visit the animal hospital. While Ddobok was receiving treatment at a hospital, his owners visited Ddobok after a while and gave him up and overturned it multiple times. Eventually they decided to give up Ddobok and he was sent to Adogs Center and now staying with us.😢 Since he has already been abandoned twice, we are looking for a forever family for Ddobok where he won't get hurt any more from people and will enjoy a happy pup life full of unconditional love.🙏 * Separation anxiety: None! * Potty training: 100% outdoor potty! * Energy Level (1~10): Lv. 5 * No problem getting along with other doggy friends at Adogs Center! *After a car accident, Ddobok had surgery on his rear legs, but he can walk without any difficulty!😊 Needs more rehabilitation treatment though. *Is an absolute lovebug who loves people and doggy friends.😊 Loves any person or a dog near him and is an adorable pup who shows his affection nonstop!❣ * Responds aggressively towards cats. *When he first meets someone, he is hesitatant to approach them but soon he develops into a charming pup who can be extremely adorable to them! * Gets excited when going on walks at first. Pulls on the leash a little but currently getting training, so things should get better! * He need care because he likes eating food off the ground when out for walk. * No problem letting his paws touched or get wiped after walks. * No carsickness, enjoys the scenary and drive during the ride. * Sheds a little. * Mastered ‘sit’, ‘house’, and ‘wait’. * Favorites: All kinds of food and walks. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @adogs_imbo 💙 Health issues: Requires constant observation and management due to a grade 2 of bilateral patellar luxation.

Story
My name is Toby, and I'm a 2-year-old male Mini Pinscher mix. I've had quite the journey—I was abandoned in a factory, then rescued and spent about a month in a temporary foster home before heading to a training center where I now eagerly await adoption. I have a shy personality, so it might take me a little time to warm up to new people. But if you offer me treats, I'll gladly accept and start showing you my playful side! Once I get comfortable, I'm all about showing off my cute antics and making new friends. I get along well with other dogs and tend to be quite trusting and reliant on my human companions. If your home already has a furry friend, that might help me settle in more quickly. While I'm polite and will say hello to unfamiliar dogs, it takes me a bit longer to really bond with them. I'm not one to pick fights, though—I'd much rather focus on being a good boy and enjoying some treats! I have plenty of experience with walks, so you can count on me for some enjoyable strolls without any pulling. Plus, I'm already well-trained in both indoor and outdoor potty manners. You'll hardly ever hear a peep out of me, and I'm quite calm even when I'm in my kennel. If you're looking for a sweet and well-behaved companion who's ready to bring some love and joy into your home, I might just be the perfect match for you! Come meet me and let's see if we're meant to be together. Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the huge fees they take from the rescue. Talk about right place at the right time yet again with our foster mum & for the very cute Mickey. This is another one of those disgusting stories of people letting him down, plus so very sad for Mickey. But in the same breath it was a good thing. Our foster mum was at one of the very high kill shelters in CA rescuing a sweet soul a while ago for us when a lady & her young daughter were surrendering Mickey because they were moving. The daughter was hugging Mickey as he was her as he was terrified & she was so very upset & crying. The daughters mother said they were moving & found a place where there was no dogs allowed so she was dropping him off. They had, had Mickey since he was a young puppy she said. She did not really care for poor Mickey & the daughter was begging for them not to drop him off at the shelter when our foster mum reached out to us so we could help him so he didn’t have to go into the dreaded shelter & possibly not come out of there alive. We are so grateful to have saved Mickey because he is not the dog you see today who was surrendered to us, emotionally or physically. Without our outstanding foster mum this would not of happened & who knows what would of happened to this poor boy because he was clearly mistreated. He was also not medically looked after at all. That was all on our shoulders to take care of. Mickey who is now looking for his very own forever home & who will never give up on him again & dump him & love him just as we do. Mickey was bought back to WA state from CA where we got all of his medical taken care of & he can’t wait to find his loving forever home. How on earth anyone could let Mickey down is beyond us. Especially since the previous people had him for so long, it’s shocking. Mickey just wants to be loved & look look out, once you love him back you will have a new best friend for life. Disturbing to think of what almost happened to him. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA. Mickey is not the same dog we rescued. It was quite evident that he had been mistreated & was not looked after. His nails were so long we had no idea how he could walk & he was so very untrusting of people in the beginning & was reactive out of fear & what was going to happen to him. Now this boy knows what it’s like to be loved. He is so very sweet & wants you to cuddle him & love him & adore him. In the beginning his new family will just need to go slow with him & not surprise him at all from the back or anything silly. We must say, he loved the little girl in the family & did not want to leave her, of course he didn’t when he was being dumped. He has done so well now with our vets & everyone there. Once we put him into a daycare he has grown so much in confidence wise since being there with the dogs & men he is around. In the daycare he has been around countless breeds of dogs. He is still learning to walk on a leash & is doing well considering. Mickey is a good eater, he loves to eat & put on a few pounds since being rescued. Mickey’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard for his safety. Mickey has been great with his baths because he started having them with us the moment he was rescued & he was quite filthy when our foster mum originally got him. Mickey rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & enjoys looking out the window & going places with you. We are looking for a forever home for Mickey where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lad only. Mickey is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Mickey has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. He can be the king of the home or there can be other dogs in the home. Mickey is roughly 3 years old & 13 lbs & is perhaps a miniature pincher, but what he is mixed with we are not sure at all. He is male, neutered by laser by our wonderful vets. Mickey is heart worm negative, had a dental scale & polish & dental x-rays. He is microchipped, given flea treatment, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Mickey, with all of his medical care than his adoption fee comes close to even covering, his neuter by laser, all of his shots, dental/scale & polish, boarding fees, testing him for heart worm, microchip, transport fees bringing him back to WA state, etc. Mickey has been around cats since being in the rescue in his foster home & could care less about the cat in his foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had him around small children in the rescue so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Mickey was conceived so we do not know who both his parents were, but it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Mickey’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Mickey potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Mickey has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Mickey & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Mickey who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this beautiful soul of a lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Mickey has an adoption fee of $885 & his adoption fee does not come close to what we have spent on this beautiful boy. Mickey is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Mrs. Potts from Korea and I am a wonderful approx. 8 year old female Mini Pinscher - Chihuahua mix.  I am about 3.5 lbs. and hoping to find a forever home.  I am friendly and was saved from an illegal Breeding Farm in South Korea.  I was rescued with many others by local activists from the horrific conditions we were in.  I fought to survive every day and was so badly neglected.  Korea kills an estimated 1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I just want a chance to be part of a family and for someone to love and care for me.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,195 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  We do not guarantee the breed and age of the dogs.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  Please e-mail at  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application.     March 2, 2024, 6:40 pm

Story
In a house on a hill, with a yard quite vast, Lived a hyperactive pup, a whirlwind so fast. Pico was his name, a furry little sprite, With boundless energy, from morning 'til night. He'd chase his own tail in a never-ending race, Zooming through rooms, leaving toys in his trace. With a wagging tail and a goofy grin so wide, Pico was the joy of every bumpy ride. He'd dig up the garden, bury bones in the ground, Then proudly present them when guests came around. His antics were endless, a daily surprise, From leaping through hoops to chasing butterflies. But when bedtime rolled in, his energy would wane, He'd curl up in his bed, like a tired hurricane. Dreaming of squirrels and a world so grand, Pico the hyper dog, the best in the land. So here's to Pico, the canine dynamo, Whose zest for life would endlessly flow. In laughter and chaos, he'd always partake, Pico, the hyper dog, for goodness' sake! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)
