Story
Jack is such a sweet and sensitive lil guy! At home, he loves cuddling or napping nearby, with short bursts of play - big on squeaky toys, tug, and jumping onto cozy spots. Jack can come on long summer hikes, but he prefers to stay near home in the winter. In Seattle, he's a regular café/bar dog and settles quietly on a mat for some time.As a rescued stray, Jack does best in a quiet, stable home with a predictable routine. Loud sounds startle him, so he's not a fit for homes with babies or very young kids. Older kids/teens are great. He's fearful of unfamiliar dogs but warms up to well-matched smaller or calmer dogs.Important: Jack has separation anxiety and is not currently left alone. He's on anti-anxiety medication and receptive to desensitization training. We can share his ongoing plan. Healthy, house-trained, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, knows basic commands.Ideal home: calm multi-adult household with consistent companionship, cozy spots, and lots of love <3

Story
Name: Frijol (aka Bean)Sex: MaleAge: 2.5 years oldBreed: Mini Pinscher / Chihuahua MixSize: MediumColor: Brown & WhiteWeight: 24.2 lbsNeutered: Yes | Vaccinated: Yes | Dewormed: Yes | 4DX: Negative Personality:Frijol, lovingly called Bean, is one of the sweetest, most gentle souls you’ll ever meet. He has a calm, easygoing nature and carries a quiet kindness that makes him truly special. Nothing seems to ruffle him—he’s just happy to be safe and loved. Bean does wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and is great with children, always taking a submissive, peaceful approach. He enjoys car rides and being close to his people. While he’s still building confidence on a leash, he’s learning and improving every day. About:Frijol’s story is one of resilience. He was rescued after a call came in requesting euthanasia for a dog believed to be “dying.” When help arrived, it was clear that Frijol wasn’t dying—he had simply been neglected and severely undernourished. Instead of giving up on him, he was brought to safety and given the care he deserved. When he first arrived, all he wanted was food—and more food. With proper care, love, and nutrition, Frijol has made a full recovery and is now a healthy, happy boy. He’s ready to leave his past behind and find a forever home that will cherish him the way he’s always deserved. Adoption Fee $600 Patiently waiting in Mexico until a family commits to a 10-day trial www.northwestwagrescue.org ##2733856##

Story
Saphira was only eleven months old, a tiny Min Pin mix with bright eyes and a heart that refused to dim, even when life got rough. The veterinarians believed she had been hit by a car, and for a while, her future felt uncertain. But Saphira wasn’t the kind of pup who gave up. She was the kind who fought her way back to joy. Her foster mom became her safe place — the one who carried her gently, whispered encouragement, and made sure she got every bit of care she needed. Today, she took Saphira in for more X‑rays, wanting to be absolutely sure her little fighter was healing the way she deserved. And the news was everything they hoped for. Saphira is cleared, healthy, and ready — ready for walks, ready for cuddles, ready for a family who will love her for the rest of her life. She still has that spark, that wiggle, that “I made it” glow that only rescue dogs seem to carry. She’s playful, sweet, and endlessly grateful for every soft bed, every kind hand, every new beginning. Now all she needs is someone who sees her the way her foster mom does — as a survivor, a sweetheart, and a once‑in‑a‑lifetime companion. Saphira’s next chapter is waiting. She just needs her person to turn the page.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I’m Minnie!  I’m a Min Pin/Chihuahua mix with a sweet heart that just needs a little time to shine. When I first meet new people, I can be shy and a bit nervous. I may run away and bark, but I promise I do want to be in your lap. I do really well with other dogs. Unsure about cats. I am not leash trained, but volunteers are working with me on that.  Once I trust you, my real personality comes out: happy hops, nonstop tail wags, and lots of excitement when I see my people. Please note, I do know how to climb fences.  Minnie has received extensive veterinary care while in our rescue. When she went in for her spay surgery, our veterinarian noticed an irregular heartbeat with bradycardia, although no obvious heart murmur was detected. To ensure we had a complete picture of her health, we proceeded with comprehensive bloodwork and a full echocardiogram. Her bloodwork results were completely normal, including a negative Chagas test. The echocardiogram showed a structurally and functionally normal heart. According to the cardiologist's report, the limited ECG available for review was consistent with a sinus arrhythmia. Overall, Minnie's cardiac evaluation was very reassuring and showed no significant abnormalities. I’m already spayed, 4DX negative, microchipped, current on vaccines, protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto, and ready to start my new life! My adoption fee is $400. Apply to adopt me at: www.adoggie4you.org I’m currently in Texas, but I can travel to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and along the East Coast. If I need a ride, there’s an additional $225 transport fee. (I’m unable to travel to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 19, 2026, 3:48 pm

Story
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. To see more pictures of this dog, please visit our Facebook page and look under “photos” and then “albums”. 4-year-old male Manchester Terrier, about 20 pounds. Prince lives up to his name. He really is a little Prince. He loves to play, take walks, run in the yard, sleep under the covers, and snuggle. Prince truly is a lap dog. He is a very good boy and loves being told so. When you tell him he is a “good boy,” he gets super excited. He is a great listener and takes commands very well. He is exceptionally smart and capable of learning most anything. Currently, he knows come, sit, and laydown. We have been working on “place,” but are not quite there yet. He also knows how to use a doggy door. He is very food motivated, which has been great for training. He also gets lots of compliments on walks for just how pretty he is. He is a handsome boy. Prince is one of those dogs that is energetic but also knows how to relax. A bed is his third favorite place to be, just behind laying outside on the grass in the sunshine or sitting on your lap. Prince would do best in a house with adults only, a yard to play in and walks, daily to a few days a week. Prince is a bit of an escape artist. He will need a home with a securely fenced yard. We are talking 5-6 foot fence with no escape routes, including gaps near the ground or any thing he can use as a boost. He is very savvy and curious about the world outside of your home, which is also why he loves walks. While he does not bark a lot, he does if he sees a neighbor, especially one with a dog, and delivery folks, so shared walls may not be ideal if you live in a busy area. He is great with other dogs. We have 5 others with him now of varying sizes, ages, and attitudes, and he does well with them all. He is very respectful of other dogs’ boundaries and needs. But he would also be a great only dog. He loves to be the center of attention. He has been in rescue ever since he was given up as a puppy, which means he is still learning how to socialize best with humans. This is really only an issue with brand new people and strangers. He will need to be slowly and carefully introduced to new people at first. He is very protective of you and your home. Once he gets to know you, however, you become his favorite person in the world. Prince wants nothing more than to please those he loves. Prince really is a super sweet, loving boy that with a little more training and patience will be the perfect companion.
