Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Mrs. Potts from Korea and I am a wonderful approx. 8 year old female Mini Pinscher - Chihuahua mix.  I am about 3.5 lbs. and hoping to find a forever home.  I am friendly and was saved from an illegal Breeding Farm in South Korea.  I was rescued with many others by local activists from the horrific conditions we were in.  I fought to survive every day and was so badly neglected.  Korea kills an estimated 1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I just want a chance to be part of a family and for someone to love and care for me.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,195 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  We do not guarantee the breed and age of the dogs.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  Please e-mail at  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application.     December 11, 2023, 1:33 am

HI - I'M BUCKEY! I am a handsome Min Pin in need of a new home! I'm currently in the Greater Seattle area. I was surrendered at the shelter by my previous people, who were moving and couldn't take me with them. Supposedly I am 15 years old. I'm quite lively and in good health overall, though I have some vision and hearing issues (I could possibly be deaf). But I'm a happy pup who loves hanging out with other dogs, and I absolutely will love to sit on your lap all day long! Can you open your home and hearts to a sweet older guy who deserves a wonderful and forever home? I weigh about 12 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
Hi, I’m Dobby! I am a 13 year old min pin/shepherd/blue heeler mix. I like long walks, playing in the yard, and cuddling under a blanket on the sofa. I don’t like car rides, being left alone for more than 5 hours, or other dogs on a leash. I am territorial, so apartment life isn’t my thing - I need a house or townhome with outdoor space. I am neutered, up to date on my shots, and take anxiety meds daily. I would like to live with someone who works from home or is retired and doesn’t have other animals. Someone who has experience and patience with anxious dogs is a plus.

Story
Animal Profile: Maeve is estimated to be about 8-9 months old and weighs about 25lbs. She was found emaciated in rural. Maeve ended up in the shelter but our rescue partner was able to secure a foster home for her. She has been gaining weight and confidence, and is ready for the PNW! Maeve is very dog friendly, and would do best with a fellow canine companion to show her the ropes here. She can be shy meeting new people, but warms up quickly and is very engaging and affectionate. Foster Update: Maeve is a petite little girl with 3-D ears. She still needs to fill out with some groceries. Maeve loves to play with toys and can happily keep herself entertained. Maeve is dog friendly with dogs of all sizes and is good at listening to dog social cues. Maeve is getting better at settling in the house and loves to snuggle. She's crate trained and sleeps through the night and is working on potty training. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Animal Advocacy & Rescue, our partner in Del Rio Texas and arriving to Seattle area foster care on 12/04/23. Story
Animal Profile: Benji and his brother Luffy found themselves shelter bound when their owners moved into new housing and could not afford the pet rent/deposit. When the landlord threatened eviction, they had no choice but to surrender them to the Kent shelter. Our contacts at the shelter reached out to see if we could help since the boys were scared and shut down, so we took them in. We met and evaluated the boys and found that Luffy is the more outgoing of the two brothers but both are eager to make friends and take treats. As soon as you earn a little trust, they are fast to hop in your lap and stick to you like glue. They can be a little vocal when new people enter the room, but are easy to correct and quiet down. Both dogs would do best in homes with other canine companions. Luffy and Benji speak Spanish, and do know their names.  Foster Update: Coming soon! Adoption Info: Luffy's adoption fee is $550 which includes his neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Flickr was found as a stray in Kent with no collar and no chip. He was transferred to us through RASKC where he was evaluated to be a friendly and happy dog. He is being fostered in the greater Seattle area and is now available for adoption.December 11, 2023, 2:20 am

Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the huge fees they take from the rescue. Talk about right place at the right time yet again with our foster mum & for the very cute Mickey. This is another one of those disgusting stories of people letting him down, plus so very sad for Mickey. But in the same breath it was a good thing. Our foster mum was at one of the very high kill shelters in CA rescuing a sweet soul a while ago for us when a lady & her young daughter were surrendering Mickey because they were moving. The daughter was hugging Mickey as he was her as he was terrified & she was so very upset & crying. The daughters mother said they were moving & found a place where there was no dogs allowed so she was dropping him off. They had, had Mickey since he was a young puppy she said. She did not really care for poor Mickey & the daughter was begging for them not to drop him off at the shelter when our foster mum reached out to us so we could help him so he didn’t have to go into the dreaded shelter & possibly not come out of there alive. We are so grateful to have saved Mickey because he is not the dog you see today who was surrendered to us, emotionally or physically. Without our outstanding foster mum this would not of happened & who knows what would of happened to this poor boy because he was clearly mistreated. He was also not medically looked after at all. That was all on our shoulders to take care of. Mickey who is now looking for his very own forever home & who will never give up on him again & dump him & love him just as we do. Mickey was bought back to WA state from CA where we got all of his medical taken care of & he can’t wait to find his loving forever home. How on earth anyone could let Mickey down is beyond us. Especially since the previous people had him for so long, it’s shocking. Mickey just wants to be loved & look look out, once you love him back you will have a new best friend for life. Disturbing to think of what almost happened to him. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA. Mickey is not the same dog we rescued. It was quite evident that he had been mistreated & was not looked after. His nails were so long we had no idea how he could walk & he was so very untrusting of people in the beginning & was reactive out of fear & what was going to happen to him. Now this boy knows what it’s like to be loved. He is so very sweet & wants you to cuddle him & love him & adore him. In the beginning his new family will just need to go slow with him & not surprise him at all from the back or anything silly. We must say, he loved the little girl in the family & did not want to leave her, of course he didn’t when he was being dumped. He has done so well now with our vets & everyone there. Once we put him into a daycare he has grown so much in confidence wise since being there with the dogs & men he is around. In the daycare he has been around countless breeds of dogs. He is still learning to walk on a leash & is doing well considering. Mickey is a good eater, he loves to eat & put on a few pounds since being rescued. Mickey’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard for his safety. Mickey has been great with his baths because he started having them with us the moment he was rescued & he was quite filthy when our foster mum originally got him. Mickey rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & enjoys looking out the window & going places with you. We are looking for a forever home for Mickey where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lad only. Mickey is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Mickey has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. He can be the king of the home or there can be other dogs in the home. Mickey is roughly 3 years old & 13 lbs & is perhaps a miniature pincher, but what he is mixed with we are not sure at all. He is male, neutered by laser by our wonderful vets. Mickey is heart worm negative, had a dental scale & polish & dental x-rays. He is microchipped, given flea treatment, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Mickey, with all of his medical care than his adoption fee comes close to even covering, his neuter by laser, all of his shots, dental/scale & polish, boarding fees, testing him for heart worm, microchip, transport fees bringing him back to WA state, etc. Mickey has been around cats since being in the rescue in his foster home & could care less about the cat in his foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had him around small children in the rescue so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Mickey was conceived so we do not know who both his parents were, but it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Mickey’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Mickey potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Mickey has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Mickey & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Mickey who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this beautiful soul of a lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Mickey has an adoption fee of $885 & his adoption fee does not come close to what we have spent on this beautiful boy. Mickey is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Whoever gets to welcome home Layla is truly lucky! This adorable little 7-year-old miniature pinscher mix is full of spunk and personality. She loves to play with stuffed toys and becomes really animated and excited when it's play time. Her silly hops and enthusiasm will have you smiling big in no time. Layla is on the shyer side at first, and will likely do best in a quiet, predictable home with just dog-experienced adults. The time given to her to decompress and settle in will be greatly reward with loads of love and fun. Layla is looking to be the only dog in her new home but may do okay with dog savvy cats and a slow introduction. She is not a fit for an apartment or condo and prefers a quiet environment. If you're ready to welcome home this big personality in a little package, send in an adoption application for Layla today! Layla's adoption fee is waived in thanks to a generous donor and our Pay it Forward program.*Layla is in a foster home and not currently located at the shelter.#playful

Story
Sabine is the calmest and sweetest puppy you will ever meet. But she is also super shy and needs a home where she has another young puppy to follow and play with. Sabine was rescued from a high kill shelter where she was taken to when she was only 2 months old, and spent 2 more months there, fighting parvo and being scared for her life. She was 4 months old when her foster mom picked her up from the shelter, and helped her heal. It is therefore not surprising that she was so very scared of humans, but bonded immediately with her foster doggie and kittie siblings. It took her 3 weeks to decompress, and start playing with her foster siblings Carli and Strider. It took her another 3 months for her to start coming up to her foster mom, and sniff her and lick her hands. Now she loves to see her foster mom walk in through the door, and she wags her tail and jumps in joy when she sees the food bowl come out. The 3-3-3 rule worked like a charm for Sabine. She is very velcro now with her foster mom, and when Carli is in her daycare, Sabine stays right by her foster mom. Before, she used to hide under the couch or chair, when her foster mom would come near her, but now she comes up to her foster mom for petting. Sabine is an extremely sweet and submissive girl, who is very obedient. She goes into the crate as soon as she hears, good night. She is highly intelligent and knows exactly how to handle her crazy foster sister who snatches her bones and toys non stop. Sabine will need a very, VERY patient and compassionate home, where she will be allowed the time to slowly bond with her new parent. Her new home must have dogs she can play with. She needs to be the companion of your dog before she can be your dog. But once she is your dog, and she trusts you, she will not leave your side. Sabine is currently 30 lb, and growing, She is black and brindle in color. Her adoption fee includes all her age appropriate shots, spay surgery and microchip, and she is kept on heartworm and flea preventative and deworming schedule. Sweet Sabine is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to many states. To meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards, if any, MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.
