Story
Perseus is ready for another shot at love. Perseus is a 12-year old poodle who weighs 12lbs. Perseus originally came to us two years ago with a large, perineal hernia that was filled with poop and infected. He received the surgery he needed and found an amazing family. Unfortunately, due to an illness in the family, Perseus was returned to us and we're looking for a wonderful home. Perseus is a character! He loves standing on his back legs while frantically begging for attention. Perseus enjoys laying in the sun, lounging on the couch, and snuggling. He's not overly vocal, but will bark when someone enters the house/room. He's been great with every dog he's met and loves human affection. Perseus will never poop "normally" and may need some assistance at times. It's not as scary as it sounds and we will definitely give you pointers and advice. He does have another small perineal hernia that is not surgical, but it doesn't affect his quality of life. Percy has recently had full blood work and everything looked good. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. A previous vet visit heard a grade 3 heart murmur on Perseus but two of our vets could not hear any murmur. THEO IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!    Meet Theo! If you love kisses in the morning, kisses in the evening, and kisses at suppertime, Theo might be the perfect pup for you! This adorable little doodle is incredibly affectionate and loves being around people. At just 6 months old and less than 20 pounds, Theo is the perfect small companion with a big personality. He loves to run and play—especially games of keep-away—with both small and large dogs, and he does great with kids.  Theo is a smart boy who already knows how to use a doggy door and is crate trained. He’s also great at letting you know when he wants something! He’s currently working on leash training and slowly learning how to interact with cats. Theo would thrive in a loving home where he can get plenty of playtime, cuddles, and attention. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate companion, Theo may be your guy! Interested in giving Theo his forever home? He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all dog vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. Story
Meet Trevor! 🐾 Trevor is a 2–3 year old, 12-pound poodle mix with a heart as big as his adorable smile. This incredibly sweet boy came from a difficult beginning—he was turned into a kill shelter along with several other poodles to be euthanized. Thankfully, **Joyrides Rescue** stepped in and welcomed Trevor into their program, giving him the second chance he truly deserves. Trevor was born with **Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH)**, a neurological condition that makes him a bit wobbly and clumsy. But don’t let that fool you—Trevor is just as happy and full of life as any other dog! In fact, he’s an amazing ambassador for CH dogs. Everyone who meets him instantly falls in love with his joyful spirit and sweet personality. This lovable little guy is housetrained and crate trained (though he sometimes needs a little help getting into his crate). Trevor loves being part of a family and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. His favorite activities include going for walks, watching TV, following his foster mom around the house, and snoozing peacefully while you work. He’s curious, affectionate, and extremely friendly with everyone he meets. Trevor is also a quiet companion who rarely barks—but he gets very excited about one thing in particular: mealtime! 🍽️ Because of his CH, Trevor does best with a few simple accommodations: * An elevated food and water bowl helps him eat comfortably. * Runners or rugs on slippery floors help prevent falls, especially when he gets excited. * He absolutely loves lounging on the couch, but should be carefully supervised while up there. * A safe home environment without sharp corners, clutter, or obstacles helps him move around more easily. Trevor may be a little wobbly, but his happiness, resilience, and love for life make him truly special. He is looking for a patient, loving forever family who will appreciate his unique charm and give him the safe, cozy home he deserves. Trevor is currently being fostered in **Houston, TX** and is available for adoption locally or in the Northeast. If you think you might be the forever family Trevor has been waiting for, please email **[info@joyrides.org](mailto:info@joyrides.org)** for an application. ❤️🐶
