I am 48lbs, and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $550 All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Claude is an approximately 10 year old purebred male grey miniature poodle who weighs in at 12 pounds.  This dog's adoption fee is $200.  If you are still interested, please read more below. This sweet boy had to come back to ARF because his Mom needed more care herself. She moved to assisted living and was not able to take care of her beloved dog any longer. He was already an aging dog when she adopted him. Today he has many challenges. He is looking for an angel who will care for him, provide soft beds for his many naps, and loving pets for him for the time he has left. He is on blood pressure medicine for the rest of his life, his sight is extremely limited, and his hearing is going. He does get the zoomies after a bath and excited at meal time - you see the puppy emerge occasionally for quick bursts. He is fine with cats (ignores them) and gets along well with other dogs.  Claude is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and neutered.  This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today!  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! These senior bonded sisters are looking for a special adopter who will see past their age and shyness to see the wonderful companions they are! Delaney is the more reserved, but once she feels comfortable you’ll have a lap buddy to keep you warm on these cold, winter days! If your lap isn’t available though, she’s perfectly content to sleep in her bed near wherever you are. Spry beyond her years, she leaps onto the couch like an Olympian! Delaney is house and crate trained, walks well on a leash alone or with her sister, minimal barking, little to no shedding, and is great in the car. Delaney and her sister Tallulah would do best in a home where someone is home much of the time since they enjoy their people so much. Whoever adds them to their family will be rewarded twice over and more!
