Hi friends, I'm Pawl! I will be adoptable at MHS on Monday, April 29th! There are limited appointments available to meet me, so please call 219-872-4499 now to make sure you have one scheduled! I'm a special kind of pup, so please read about me first! I arrived at MHS as a stray so I wasn't able to share my background with them. Once I trust you, I am the most charming boy! I'm looking for someone patient and compassionate who understands that a calm and structured home will help me to be happy and feel safe. The world is a big place to a tiny boy like me, so lots of things are scary to me. I know I would be set up for success if my adopter will help me navigate when I have big feelings. For example, when I am comfortable in a home and new people, specifically men, walk in, it makes me uncomfortable. I'm hoping someone can teach me how to be the best boy I can be when that situation comes up. The humans say that I will absolutely thrive with someone who will provide me with consistent training, gentle guidance, and a calm environment. You know, someone who is invested in me! The humans told me to tell you that with the right care and support, I will undoubtedly blossom into a confident and joyful companion. After I've adjusted, I love snuggling. My loyalty and affection are above most! I've done great with being house-trained. I know how to come and sit on command. I like my food because it is my food. I'm working on learning that I can share and not be nervous when others come near me around it and I've been improving! I lived in a foster home for a little bit and I learned that I love to nap. Like a lot of naps. Naps are the best. I'm not a loud and crazy fellow, I'm a quiet good boy who likes a more serene environment. I have lived with foster fursiblings and I did well! I'd prefer kiddos in the home to be about 8ish and older. I am a little over one-year-old, am about 19-pounds, and am neutered. Make sure to call to meet me! PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING TO ADOPT INDY   Indy came to us a few weeks ago, he was a client of our friends at Serenity and does amazing with them, unfortunately without a lot of guidance and training daily Indy has quite a bit of hiccups in the home, and was sent back to his breeder then another trainer who continued to work with him! Indy's hiccups included ... Resource guarding toys and food at him with children and adults , He was barrier guarding in the kennel and will snarl and bark.   He is currently being fostered with Serenity Pet Spaw where he loves! For the past few weeks(and prior to with his other family) they have worked on training and making the crate a happy time and he has passed all the tests with flying colors!!! He does amazing grooming and only has some issues with nail filing but, they see no biting just a few lip lifts which is being worked on as well. Indy we would consider a special case and due to his background we would only adopt local. We would ask anyone adopting continue doggy daycare, grooming and boarding with Serenity Pet Spaw but ,we understand that may not be possible and if changing to a different facility they are happy to talk and work with whatever facility choosen as well to make sure Indy has the best transition! We would ask any potential adopters be willing to continue to crate train(serenity will go over all the training they are doing as well!) and sign up with a trainer prior to adoption.  Indy LOVES other dogs and will get along with certain cats , so we would off a foster to adopt for him and help acclimate him to your home!   Indys perfect home would be an active very dog knowledgeable home with older children (13 up)  who would be involved in the training process as well as everyone in the home.   If you are Indy's perfect home please fill out an application and we will schedule a meet and greet!!  ##1997055##

She is very sweet but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. Her birth date is 02/08/23 and she currently weighs 3.5#. Photos were taken after spay surgery & she is still very sleepy. She will be groomed before adoptions & require grooming for life.  A Daisy dog is 1/2 mini poodle and 1/2 teddy bear (a teddy bear is 1/2 shih tzu & 1/2 bichon). She has been vet. checked, spayed,  micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. She has pinnol alopecia and is missing hair on her ears. This causes no problems and there is nothing to be done.
