Story
**Please read Petu's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Petu, an 8-year-old Mixed Breed, weighing 14 pounds (as of 12/30/25)! He was recently surrendered when his primary owner sadly passed away. While Petu will miss and always love his previous home, he hopes to find the next home where he can continue to be the perfect companion. Petu is a true sweetheart and loves to spend time with his humans. Whether it's yelling at the TV when your home team loses the game, celebrating Thanksgiving with the new in-laws, or selling Girl Scout cookies outside a grocery store, Petu wants to be a part of life's precious moments. His favorite activities include going on walks around the neighborhood, chasing balls and playing with his toys. While he can be a little timid around men at first, but he does warm up to them eventually. It helps if you bribe him with treats (which he LOVES)! Petu is also very alert when it comes to strangers and is more than ready to bark if a group of kids are about to egg your house! Not on his watch! He also "sits," "leaves it," and comes when you call him. In 2021, Petu had a grade 1 heart murmur, which is now a grade 2-3 in recent visits. It was recommended that he have an echo, and he is also blind due to bilateral cataracts. According to his previous owner, Petu can still see and didn't walk into objects around his home, but he'll need patience as he adjusts to the unfamiliar surroundings of your home. Petu is pee-pad trained and would thrive in a home with an older person or couple who enjoy peace and quiet as he's a very gentle and sweet soul. Sound good to you? Adopt Petu today! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. Story
Are you looking for a best friend who’s always ready to be by your side? A loyal companion who hangs on your every word and just wants to share life’s everyday moments with you? Then you need to meet Molly. Molly is a 7-year-old, 30-pound Sheepadoodle with a heart as big as her personality. Her foster mom says it best: “This is one cool dog. Someone is going to be really, really lucky to get her.” And she means it. Molly loves being with her person. Whether you’re running errands, working around the house, or simply relaxing on the couch, she’s happiest when she’s right there with you. She’s attentive, connected, and ready to build a true partnership with her forever family. Because Molly has a strong herding instinct, she would do best as the only pet in the home — no other dogs or cats — where she can focus all her love and loyalty on her people. Molly is currently located between Rochester and Buffalo, NY, and she’s ready to start her next chapter. Could it be with you? Please fill out an adoption application before you contact the placement team. (https://membership.neoesr.org/OL-Adoption.php)

Story
THEO is a very sweet and playful mixed breed dog. He's around 3 mo old and 7lbs but will likely be 20lbs full grown. He's very active and loves to give kisses. He gets along well with other dogs and appears non-reactive to cats (although he does not live with any). He would be fine with small children and adults alike. He enjoys chew toys and bones of all kinds and adores wrestling with anyone who will give him the time of day! He is NOT pottytrained so be prepared to deal with all things puppy (housetraining, chewing, etc). He is a very active puppy and would do best with someone with a lot of time and enregy! He is fostered in Houston TX and will not be transported until adopted. His fee is $850. You may pick him up in Texas or we can discuss flying him to you. The first step in adoption is to fill out an application at www.recycleddogsrescue.org.
