Story
This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. ##2337209##

Story
Tiara is ready to find her furever. She is estimated to be around 6 years old, weighing in at a whopping 5.8 pounds of pure charm and sass. While she always will be the tiny Tiara, she’s on a mission to gain weight (and get a few extra treats for good measure). This mini poodle has a sweet personality that could melt the coldest of hearts, but don’t be fooled—she's got a growing confidence! She's already the self-appointed ruler of the lap kingdom and has started growling at the other dogs in the house, though she’s easily corrected. Tiara’s love for humans knows no bounds—whether you’re a resident or a visitor, she’s on a mission to win your heart. But fair warning: she takes the role of "shadow" a bit too seriously. She’ll follow you everywhere, even if it means being underfoot (literally). Due to that and her tiny frame she should live with dog-savvy children. Housebreaking? She’s still working on it. When she’s outside, she knows the drill, but occasionally she'll find a pee pad and give it a shot and sometimes, she might go where she is. But, hey, she’s under 6 pounds—so the mess is barely a speck! With a little consistency, she’ll have that mastered in no time. Energy-wise, she’s spirited and calms down great when she is ruling from the lap, and while she rarely barks, she does have her rare moments—particularly when her foster mom leaves. She'll cry for a little bit, but don’t worry, she always settles down. It's all part of her charm! Tiara would thrive as the only dog in the house, where she can reign supreme and claim all the attention (and laps) and she gets human attention and love. She would be great with doggie friends, too (too early to tell in the foster home but it seems that she is almost ready to play), so if she *has* to share her kingdom, she could get along with small, tolerant dogs—preferably those who understand that Tiara should be the one in charge and has no problem asserting her royal status. After all, every queen needs her court, even if she occasionally wants to rule the pack with a little growl here and there. She has not been cat tested. Who is the lucky adopter to host this queen? The adoption fee is $400. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Seeking foster-to-adopt. Meet Tad, a senior bundle of love who’s proof that wisdom (and adorableness) comes with age. Tad might be blind and deaf, but he’s still sharp, sweet, full of life, and easy to care for. He’s about 10lbs, with mostly white curly hair and some patches of tan. His breath could use some work (hey, we all have that friend), and could benefit from a dental appointment. Freshly shaved and rocking the softest regrowth you’ve ever felt, Tad is basically a cuddly marshmallow with legs. This gentle soul is happy snoozing in your lap but is just as content chilling in his dog bed or his cozy X-pen. He’s low-maintenance to the core with a charming little habit: when it’s time to go #2, he’ll give you a polite “hey, human!” bark to let you know. And yes, this gentleman actually pees outside—a true hero among dogs! Tad gets along great with other pups, enjoys wandering the yard, and has mastered the art of being adorable 24/7. Crate him? No problem—he’s a perfect guest. Need to step out? He’ll patiently wait in his pen, respecting pee pads like the classy dude he is. Heartworm positive? Sure, but Tad’s getting the care he needs to tackle that, pending his bloodwork. He’s ready to share his golden years with a family who appreciates his calm, loving vibe. If you are interested in finding out more about Tad, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog The adoption fee is $150.
