Story
Meet Teddy! Teddy is a 30-pound sweetheart with a goofy personality, a heart full of love, and the cutest little habit—he sneezes when he's happy! From the moment he arrived in foster care, he settled right in and quickly showed everyone what an easygoing, lovable companion he is. Teddy is fully house trained, walks beautifully on leash, loves car rides, and is just as happy joining you for an adventure as he is relaxing at your feet while you watch TV. He has a moderate energy level, enjoys daily walks, and likes to play, but he's never over-the-top. This sweet boy gets along well with other dogs, takes their cues respectfully, and has been wonderful with children. Teddy loves being close to his people, following them from room to room, but he's not overly clingy or demanding—he simply enjoys being part of whatever you're doing. He sleeps peacefully through the night, is comfortable in his crate, and has excellent house manners. His foster describes him as happy, affectionate, and incredibly easy to love. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle spirit, a goofy smile, and the sweetest little button eyes, Teddy is ready to become your new best friend.   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.   ##2788249##

Story
Meet Rolo! 🐾 Rolo is an adorable, almost 9-month-old Miniature Schnauzer/Miniature Poodle mix weighing about 7 pounds, and we don’t expect him to get much bigger! If you’re looking for a little dog with a big heart, Rolo is your guy. Rolo loves, loves, loves to cuddle with his person! His favorite place is right by your side, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. Rolo gets along well with other dogs, but like many young puppies, he can become a little jealous when it comes to sharing his favorite person. His foster family has been working with him on this, and his future family should be prepared to continue helping him build confidence and good manners. Rolo is a happy, playful puppy who brings joy wherever he goes. He’s currently working on his house training and is making progress every day. Like any puppy, he’ll need a family that’s patient, consistent, and committed to helping him continue learning. Rolo is up to date on his vaccinations and is microchipped. He is not yet neutered, but Chance of a Lifetime Dachshund Rescue will have his neuter completed at the rescue’s expense before his adoption is finalized. If you’re ready to add a sweet, affectionate companion to your family, Rolo may be the perfect match! To apply, please visit www.coaldr.org and submit an adoption application. We can’t wait for Rolo to find the loving forever home he deserves! ❤️

Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Phoebe! She is approximately 7 years old, 12 lbs currently and she may have some Poodle in her mix! She joined our rescue after her previous family went to live in assisted living and couldn`t take her with them.In her foster home, she is doing great with her house training, crate training, and leash walking. She could join households with other dogs. No kids or apartments, please! Cats are unknown. Her foster says, `Phoebe may be around 7 years old, but don`t let her age fool you! She can easily keep up with the playful 1-year-old pup in my home, then turn right around and relax with the senior fur babies. She truly fits in with everyone. Phoebe is the all-around ideal companion and has a way of brightening even the darkest days. She`s been the perfect house guest and is such an easy girl to love.Phoebe has it all—beautiful looks, intelligence, wonderful manners, she`s house-trained, and has a calm, gentle nature with just the right amount of playful spunk. If you`re looking for a loyal best friend who will happily join you for adventures or simply cuddle by your side, Phoebe is your girl. She deserves a loving forever home where she can spend her golden years being cherished.`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth in August, or possibly earlier. Story
Meet Avril! Avril is a gentle soul with a heart that's slowly learning how to trust. She can be shy and cautious around people at first, but every little milestone—like the tail wag that took a whole month to appear—feels like a huge victory. She'd love a quiet, adult-only home with experienced adopters who understand that patience is her love language. Avril feels safest with another small, friendly dog companion. She loves spending time in her Foster’s fenced yard, running around with her canine friends, lounging on the porch, or chewing on a favorite stick. While she's independent and happy doing her own thing, once she trusts you, she'll happily curl up nearby on the couch. Avril isn't comfortable with stairs, and is still learning house-training routines. If you're the kind of person who celebrates the small wins and understands that trust can't be rushed, Avril just might be your perfect match. Beneath her timid exterior is an incredibly sweet dog who deserves a chance to bloom. 💕
