Story
Meet Oliver (Ollie) our sweet 15 year old minimature poodle/chinese crested mix who is looking for a loving home where he can spend his golden years getting all the attention and companionship he deserves.Ollie has been our beloved family dog for over 10 years. He is incredibly sweet, cuddly, affectionate, and loves being close to people. He definetely has a stubborn side and knows what he wants (sometimes won't take a walk, will lay on the floor), but that is just what makes Ollie, Ollie. At 15 years old, Ollie does have some special needs. He is blind and has high blood pressure, which is managed with two medications a day. He also is quite stubborn so does have incontenence issues (he wears a diaper to pee) and does sometimes have number 2 accidents in the house. Despite his age and some medical needs, he is doing well and is a happy older guy who just needs a little more care, patience, and supervision we are unable to give with full time in person work and older parents.

Story
My amazing dog, Freddie Mercury, will be in 10 years of age in December of 2026. He is wonderful and loving companion, who wants nothing more than to be with his human dad all of the time. Unfortunately, his human dog has to work many hours to support Freddie's upper-class lifestyle. Also, Freddie has leg issues and is on Rimadyl, Gabapentin and Glucosamine. I got Freddie after a break-up with his mom many years ago. She no longer wanted him, and he definitely loved me more. Some of other things about Freddie: He has severe separation anxiety but is incredibly well-behaved when I am with him. He also hates the mailman, or any other delivery person. I love my dog more than anything but would love to see him with a family who treats him with the upmost class and dignity. Also, this family would be home all or most of the time. He is truly a wonderful and loving dog!

Story
Meet Rocky! 🐾 Rocky is a big, goofy puppy right in the middle of adolescence, with a huge personality, a smart brain, and so much love and enthusiasm for life! He is sweet, silly, playful, and always ready for some fun. Despite everything he has been through, Rocky has maintained an incredible joy for life and trust in people. Rocky hasn’t gotten to have the typical puppyhood he deserved. He has spent months dealing with injuries, surgery, recovery, and lots of necessary rest, meaning he has missed out on many of the adventures, experiences, and training opportunities most puppies get along the way. Now, he is eager to make up for lost time! Please speak with our staff to learn more about Rocky’s medical history, recovery, and what he may need moving forward. Rocky is an active, energetic boy who absolutely loves to play. Frozen Kongs, lick mats, chews, and rope toys are some of his favorites, and he is the kind of smart dog who will benefit from having plenty of fun ways to keep both his body and brain busy. He has also met other dogs and was very excited to make friends, greeting them appropriately, although his recovery limited how much actual playtime he could have. Because Rocky has missed some important puppy experiences, he is still learning how to handle all of his excitement. Sometimes the world feels like a lot, and those big adolescent feelings can come out as barking, jumping, or mouthiness. He’ll thrive with a dog-experienced adopter who can give him positive direction, consistency, training, and plenty of appropriate outlets for his energy. Rocky would do best with teens or older, and a fenced yard would give him a wonderful space to play and practice his skills as he continues gaining confidence. This sweet boy has spent enough of his puppyhood on the sidelines. Rocky is ready to learn, explore, play, make up for lost time, and finally enjoy all the fun that comes with being a big puppy! He just needs someone who sees the wonderful dog underneath all that adolescent enthusiasm and is excited to help him become his very best self.

Story
Meet Pebbles! She is approximately 4 years old, 20 lbs currently and she likely has some Poodle/Doodle in her mix! She was surrendered after her people didn`t have time for her. In her foster home, she is doing great with her house training and crate training. She isn`t a big fan of going on walks right now as they`re a little scary. She does resource guard and would likely do best as a solo dog. She has not been exposed to cats, and she would do best with older kids. A fenced in yard would be preferred to give her a safe space to build her confidence. Her foster says, `Pebbles is a very sweet, loving girl. She gets so excited when I come home. She just wiggles and jumps around. She gets the zoomies real often when we go outside. She has been non-destructive, walks well on a leash and does pretty good in the crate but cries a little sometimes. She will make a great addition to some loving family.`She is available for adoption by appointment in Hopkinton, MA. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Meet Hughey! This little guy is friendly, happy, and loves to sniff and explore! He isn’t a fan of anyone getting up in his face, which is understandable, but due to this he shouldn’t go to a home with any young children. Hughey is also special needs due to luxating patellas. Thankfully, he is not painful or lame and uses his legs normally. No surgery is needed at this time, but his adopter should discuss his condition with their veterinarian.Hughey is a sweet, cheerful guy looking for a loving home that will give him the understanding and care that he deserves!Apply today: capeannanimalaid.org/dogapp
