Pepper is in need of a new home because he does not appreciate the children in the child care giver`s home. His owner has provided lots of info about him and says:Pepper is a very playful and loving dog but she cannot trust him around children or other dogs.Pepper is a Corgi Poodle Mix with maybe some terrier mixed in too, and weighs around 17 pounds.He is very smart and knows a lot of commands---sit, stay, shake, down, wait, leave it, high five, No, come. Pepper caught on to leash walking very quickly. He is an excellent walker and loves his walks. He has started to get reactive when he sees other dogs so hopefully working with him on this quickly can resolve the issue, offering reassurance and `no` usually pulls him out of it. We walk at least 2 miles in the morning and sometime another 30 minute walk in the evening after dinner. We play a bit with toys or play fetch with his ball or frisbee.He was super easy to house break and super easy to crate train. He loves his crate, often crating himself. He does great at the vets.He never gets into the garbage and doesn`t eat laundry. He does well in the car. He loves people and will bark when people come over but settles quickly when he sees who it is. He loves to jump up on people to say Hi, and we have been working on that. He snuggles in and stays quietly in his crate during the entire night until we get him out around 7:30-8.He eats his breakfast and then we go for a couple mile walk. He will usually relieve himself while we walk.He is a pretty easy dog. He has one disgusting habit---he will eat his poop quickly if given the chance so you need to pick it up before he has a chance to turn around.He has some resource guarding/possession issues, and has been going to training for this issue, although they have not seen this reaction from him because he mostly reacts this way with children or if someone gets in his space suddenly. When he is with little children, I put a soft muzzle on him and he is usually quite relaxed with it on. To counter the protective guarding issue, we do not allow him on furniture. He does not do well with other dogs, maybe because he likes all the attention for himself or because he is afraid of them, he can be a bit of a chicken.He goes to a groomer about every 2-3 months and gets some grooming at home in between. He is very patient with the grooming.He gets fed twice per day, morning and evening.Basically he is an energetic, happy little guy with no health issues and adopts well to new situations.Being a a child care giver`s home just is not the right place for him. Why hello there! My name is Link - thank you for clicking on my picture to get to know me better. I am a handsome young fella who is looking for a loving home to call my fur-ever home. I didn't exactly have the best start in life - you see, a kind Animal Control Officer helped me find the amazing folks at NBS Animal Rescue when I was found as a stray with severely matted fur. It was so bad that my fur covered my eyes, made it difficult for me to eat, walk, and go to the bathroom. My foster dad didn't think twice when he saw me - he just scooped me up into his arms and helped me get a much needed bath and a groom to help me feel better from my itchy tightly matted fur. Aren't I handsome with my new haircut??? My foster mom says I am about a year old, weigh about 10 lbs, and am likely a mix of Poodle, Maltese, Shih Tzu, and terrier. My fur is a growing in to be nice and soft and I likely will not shed. I'm a young fella still so I'm still learning doggy manners. Sometimes I get really excited when we are playing and forget my manners and can get a little mouthy while playing. I like to play with other friendly dogs and often get the zoomies with my foster sister and run around our fenced yard and romp and play while supervised. My foster dad says I'm a good listener when he reminds me to mind my manners and take a break from playing. I LOVE TO SNUGGLE! Are you looking for a dog to sit next to you on the couch while you read a book or watch your favorite TV show? I'm your guy! Looking for a dog to snuggle you at night - pick me! I love to snuggle up to my foster mom's neck at night and even snuggle under the covers too! Because I didn't learn all of the important things when I was a puppy, I'm still learning how to do my business outside, sit, walk nicely on a leash, and lay down. My foster dad says I'm a quick learner! I am doing well with potty training while my foster mom and dad are home and letting me out on a regular schedule, but, I don't love my crate and can only hold it for about 3-4 hours if I'm alone in my crate. I'm an inquisitive fella so it's best if I am crated when you are not home to make sure I stay safe and not get into things I shouldn't while I'm still learning. My foster dad says that I am a fantastic companion - I love being with my people and another friendly dog. He can be silly and playful, but is equally happy and content to be held and snuggle his people. He would do best in home with a fenced yard and with someone who can be home enough to get him outside on a regular schedule every 4 hours to maintain his potty training learning and who has patience to help him learn how to sit, walk nicely on a leash, etc. Link is good at alerting you to strangers at the door, or strange loud sounds outside and will bark when he is first in his crate so an apartment or condo would not be ideal for Link right now. Link is a fantastic little dog who has lots of love to give to a family who is patient and gentle. Link's adoption fee is $350 and includes all of his vetting including microchip and neuter surgery. Charlie is a 2 yr old neutered male Miniature Poodle. He currently weighs 27 lbs. Charlie was surrendered by a breeder. This guy is going to be an awesome family pet. He is shy when he meets new people but given a chance he becomes a loving and playful guy. He loves bounding in he yard with the other dogs and seems to smile as he runs near you. He has just discovered toys and you will often find him just carrying a new toy with him. He loves treats. This guy just needs a little more confidence to become the perfect family companion. I have to admit he has stolen my heart very quickly and I am sure he will steal yours too. He will need just a little help with house training. He has been fine with children , cats and other dogs .
