Pepper is in need of a new home because he does not appreciate the children in the child care giver`s home. His owner has provided lots of info about him and says:Pepper is a very playful and loving dog but she cannot trust him around children or other dogs.Pepper is a Corgi Poodle Mix with maybe some terrier mixed in too, and weighs around 17 pounds.He is very smart and knows a lot of commands---sit, stay, shake, down, wait, leave it, high five, No, come. Pepper caught on to leash walking very quickly. He is an excellent walker and loves his walks. He has started to get reactive when he sees other dogs so hopefully working with him on this quickly can resolve the issue, offering reassurance and `no` usually pulls him out of it. We walk at least 2 miles in the morning and sometime another 30 minute walk in the evening after dinner. We play a bit with toys or play fetch with his ball or frisbee.He was super easy to house break and super easy to crate train. He loves his crate, often crating himself. He does great at the vets.He never gets into the garbage and doesn`t eat laundry. He does well in the car. He loves people and will bark when people come over but settles quickly when he sees who it is. He loves to jump up on people to say Hi, and we have been working on that. He snuggles in and stays quietly in his crate during the entire night until we get him out around 7:30-8.He eats his breakfast and then we go for a couple mile walk. He will usually relieve himself while we walk.He is a pretty easy dog. He has one disgusting habit---he will eat his poop quickly if given the chance so you need to pick it up before he has a chance to turn around.He has some resource guarding/possession issues, and has been going to training for this issue, although they have not seen this reaction from him because he mostly reacts this way with children or if someone gets in his space suddenly. When he is with little children, I put a soft muzzle on him and he is usually quite relaxed with it on. To counter the protective guarding issue, we do not allow him on furniture. He does not do well with other dogs, maybe because he likes all the attention for himself or because he is afraid of them, he can be a bit of a chicken.He goes to a groomer about every 2-3 months and gets some grooming at home in between. He is very patient with the grooming.He gets fed twice per day, morning and evening.Basically he is an energetic, happy little guy with no health issues and adopts well to new situations.Being a a child care giver`s home just is not the right place for him. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Finn is a 2-1/2 y/o Aussie doodle mini. He Weighs 25 to 30 pounds He is very high energy. He requires a lot of attention. He loves playing frisbee and ball. He loves to be around people. He is good with children and dogs. He is good in the house. He has good recall. He just wants to be around somebody all the time he loves to be around people he loves attention. He loves cuddling. He tries to be a lap dog, but he’s a little too big all in all he is a good dog. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. Embark DNA Test Results - 68.2% Standard Poodle and 31.8% Small Poodle. The injection of the Merle gene is from her father - so far back that Embark cannot detect which generation included the outcross (Google the Merle Poodle mystery). Only one copy of the Merle gene & cleared of MDR1. Mother a solid color. Agate was purchased from a reputable breeder in Southern Michigan that follows strict breeding practices. Agate well being and health is evaluated by local vet at least two times a year. Behaves well at groomer. Agate will give her opinion if left in crate longer than she feels necessary because she wants to be with her human. Agate enjoys protection of a 6 foot solid fence since birth to play and potty. Otherwise lounging in central air with an older dog, both interacting with their human 3/4 of 24 hours. If you cannot provide a secure fenced yard, own your home, central air and interactions not alone more than 3-4 hours during 3/4 of a 24 hour day then do not apply!

Hello! My name is Lauri and I am a mature lady who is looking for my fur-ever family to love. I am about 12 years old, spayed, and the doggy doctor says I am a healthy girl with all my vaccines up to date. I get along with other low energy easy going dogs, and love to spend time with people I trust. Do you like to watch tv on the couch? I'm your girl!
