Story
Hello, my name is Rusty. I’m a breeder release, and I came into rescue with my very best friend Fancy, another lovely mini poodle. We were a breeding pair. Life is still pretty new and a little overwhelming for me, but with time and kindness, I’m learning what it means to feel safe and loved. I’m very shy around people because I didn’t get much socialization early in life. But don’t worry—once I warm up, I become shyly playful, especially with my foster mom. I’m still figuring out this whole “being loved” thing, and patient humans make all the difference. Where I truly shine is with other dogs. If you have a friendly, social dog at home, I bloom into a bouncy, happy boy. Without another dog, I become lonely and unsure—so I must have a canine companion in my forever home. My dream home would even include my bestie Fancy; she’s a slightly bigger version of me, wonderfully outgoing, and she helps me feel brave. My potty training is still a work in progress, but I’m trying my best every day. I am not currently leash trained but working on it. Best in a fenced yard. If you’re patient, gentle, and have a sweet dog who wouldn’t mind a soft-hearted sidekick, I might just choose you as my special person. 📨 Apply to adopt at: www.campcompanion.org 💲 Adoption fee: $350 plus tax

❤️🐾 Meet Camilla – A Sweet, Snuggly Girl Looking for Her Perfect Match! Camilla is a 6-year-old miniature poodle, about 23 pounds, and currently working on trimming down a bit. She came to rescue as a breeder release and after a rough start has blossomed into the most joyful little companion. She greets her people politely and with the cutest happy wiggle. She is leash trained, loves going outside with other dogs, and enjoys a fenced yard for exploring. She would love a fenced space to play in but it is not required. She gets along wonderfully with other small dogs and cats. She is doing well with potty training and will need consistency to continue getting better. Camilla thrives on attention—back rubs, belly rubs, warm laps… she is all about it. She’s a gentle little soul who wants to be close to her people and continue building her confidence. She will need a dental within the next 6–12 months. If you’re looking for a cuddly, kind-hearted mini poodle who’s ready to blossom even more with the right support, Camilla could be your girl. 💛 Adoption fee: $350 + tax Apply at: campcompanion.org

Story
History: Dot is an adorable little curly-q! She needed a second chance and an escape out of the commercial breeding world. She is a bit timid and shy at first but warms up quickly with some patience. She has underwent heartworm treatment and is officially ready to find a forever home of her very own soon! A note from the foster: Meet Dot (aka Dottie) – A Sweet Miniature Poodle with a Heart of Gold Dot, lovingly called Dottie, is a 6-year-old miniature poodle who’s been patiently waiting over a year for her forever home. She came to rescue as a breeder release with multiple medical issues, including heartworm and severe dental disease. She’s now fully treated, and although she had to have all of her teeth removed, she eats just fine and never turns down her favorite soft treats. Dottie is calm and independent, happiest when she’s relaxing in a cozy recliner or trotting around a safely fenced yard. While she’s not a lapdog, she loves affection on her own terms and adores belly rubs. She’s also surprisingly playful — her favorite game is fetch with a small squeaky ball, and she delights in squeaky toys of all kinds. Though she’s not fully potty trained, she’s doing well on a regular schedule with frequent trips outside. She gets along with other dogs but doesn’t need another in the home — she’s just as happy being your one and only or sharing space with calm companions. Dottie is looking for a peaceful, patient home where she can enjoy her golden years with freedom, kindness, and a few squeaky toys by her side. After everything she’s been through, she’s more than ready to be loved. She absolutely loves wearing sweaters when the weather is cool. Have you been looking for Dottie… she is waiting for you! 💕

History: Ray is a super handsome boy who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with his smile and happy personality. He has his paws crossed to find his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Ray, also known as Raymond, is a sweet 7 year old neutered mini poodle that came to us as a breeder release. Raymond has come out of his shell slowly and is hilarious! He gives you the side eye when he’s not getting his way, will talk to you when it’s time for supper, his daily zoomies make me giggle, and he has started playing with small stuffed toys. He has started living his best life but is waiting patiently for someone to spend the rest of his life with. Raymond is potty trained when on a schedule. He gets two walks a day and is excellent on leash in his harness. We do have him on a special food that has helped with his reflux. He is on anxiety medication which has helped a lot in getting him settled. He is crated when I am at work, he does not like being in there and will tell you for a bit then will settle down. He is SO happy to see me when I come home he talks again telling me about his day. Because he does talk a lot I don’t think he would do well in a home with connecting walls. He sleeps with me on my bed all night. I have a 60 pound female labrador that he doesn’t mind being with, they mostly ignore each other. He loves meeting new people and dogs out on our walks. He is much more comfortable around women than men. He is my third leg when I am home so expect him to follow you around. His favorite place in the whole world is sitting on you or by you on the couch getting scratches. He loves getting tummy rubs! We have just started pulling out the blanket and he loves cuddling under that with me now. He is just the sweetest thing!

History: Ashton is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Ashton is very handsome mini poodle. He just arrived to rescue but settled into his foster home immediately. He gets along very well with his foster toy poodle sisters and the other male poodle rescued with him, we believe they are brothers. He enjoys sharing a lap and toys with all of them. He has puppy energy but also loves to snuggle and get hugs. He isn’t a pro at leash walking but is learning quickly, loves praise and is food motivated. He goes out on a schedule and takes care of business right away. So far he has kept his kennel clean. He is not a fan of his kennel and cries when he is put there but everything is so new to him, I’m sure he will feel more comfortable in a kennel once he is more familiar with his surroundings. He so sweet and easy to have around, he will make a great addition to any family.

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own! Stanley arrived to rescue needing a FHO surgery and did receive that shortly after arriving. He is recovering well and ready to start his journey in finding his forever home!
